General Discussion / Re: Why no NCAA football love?
« on: September 18, 2014, 08:15:55 PM »
Right on cue Boston College beat #9 USC.  :)

Luck and sanctions on USC.

I don't give the NCAA any love, because, well, I don't like the NCAA and its exploitation of those it employs. I'm also not too much of a fan of teams shoving the bands down our collective throats, or their "playoff" system in place up until this year. Seriously, the BCS is a sham.

If this new playoff system they're trying actually does something to reward the good teams, then I might give it another shot. (Don't hurt me!)

Yes, it's corruption and exploitation. The BCS system is not really a true representation of anything fair.. at least when you compare it to the March Madness brackets. There's money to be made, but the BCS Championship games prior to this current "revision" is more or less a sham when you really think about it.

What state do you reside in?  All football here in Texas is obviously big and there are so many people who are strong supporters of either their local schools or former alma maters.  I would almost say college football is bigger than the NFL around here locally primarily because the NFL teams we have aren't and haven't been good for a while.

In Massachusetts, the major sports team gets the noise, even if some are down this season. I do not care for Boston College... especially when they kinda underperform often (see Matt Ryan, and Matt Hasslebeck before him). So, I can't really get excited at all.

I don't care for college football... I'll occasionally watch them and their bowl games.

The thing is, it is hard to root for any particular team, and that's related to where I live (college football is generally irrelevant).

For now, I have Ravens over Steelers. I'll pick the rest during TNF.

General Discussion / Re: NFL season 2013-2014 week 21 (playoffs?!)
« on: September 04, 2014, 09:52:14 PM »
What do you mean?

I'm kidding.

Having "two teams" to root for is kinda like heresy.

Rest assured, there will be no Texans vs Cowboys Super Bowl for a while. ;)

I don't recall a fix to my knowledge regarding this.

The best you can do is trace how equipment sets data and when it tries to unset the data when you remove it. You'll probably end up needing to update the unsetting part of the data.
