OK. This thread/discussion was made in correlation to Lenophis' thread. I'm going to give the skibby on the teams we play and what not. I'll also be updating this to let you guys know how everything is going.
First off, this is a Church league team. I won't be doing the whole "preaching" thing, trust me.
I'm the coach of the team. I usually play Left-field, but I play wherever we need me.
Here's the team reports.
ECF H2"0" - This is my team. We're just an all-around team. We have a very strong infield... especially at 3rd Base and Short Stop. Our 2nd Baseman is decent, and we have an awesome 1st baseman. Our Pitcher has been playing for years. Our outfield consists of me in Left-field (mostly) and we have our strengths and weaknesses out there. Our hitting can either be on or off (more consistantly off) but since our first game of the regular season, we've been pretting on (we've only played 1 game of our regular season so far.) I ended up hitting 1.000 with 3 runs. I batted 6th in the lineup.
Jerome Prairie - We almost beat these guys in pre-season. I'm sure we can handle them down the road. Not much to talk about this team.
LDS4 - These guys are a decent team. They smoked us in our first game of pre-season. They have an all-around team that can bring it to any team. We'll slaughter them.
The Messengers - These guys are the division champs from last year. They shouldn't even be a lower division team, but for some reason they are. Celebrate Recovery got slaughtered by these guys in the pre-season, but in the first game of the season, Celebrate Recovery beat them good. A team to watch out for, though.
Celebrate Recovery - We haven't played these guys yet. But since they beat the Messengers, and the Messengers slaughtered us in pre-season, they'll be a team to look out for.
R.V.B.C. - They slaughtered us in the pre-season, but we stuck it to them 17-3 in our first game of the regular season. Kind of a weak team, but they've got the fastest kid in the whole league. We actually threw him out at first in our game we had last Monday.
St. Annes - They beat us good in our first pre-season game. We'll see what happens...
Parkway Christian - It's kind of funny... this is the same church who throws the Celebrate Recovery Group. Not much to know about them...
H2"0" vs R.V.B.C. - We beat them 17-3. One of the best games we've had against a team since last year.
H2"0" vs Parkway Christian - Ok. We blew this one. Comes to find out this team couldn't hack it as an upper division team. So they came to our division to pulverize us. The score: A lot to a little. A lot of team errors on this account. I knew I should have played in the outfield.
