Or a save before the giant. I want to test something, but all of my saves are end game or a few hours away from the giant. Any SNES version will do. Savestates are fine.

This site seems to have a cacophony of savestates. Not sure what versions though, I only skimmed it.

In all fairness no version of FFIV has said explicitly what equipping That Weapon or That Armor will do for Those Stats. (Maybe FFIV DS did, I can't quite recall) so from a basic players standpoint it makes a good deal of sense to go with what increases Attack and Defense the most.
Or does he still have stuff like the Blood Sword, Paladin equipment, etc? Also if I may ask, what are you testing?

Yeah, it's always annoyed me that only three stats are shown on the equipment screen, but those saves are from 2004; basic info should've been pretty well known by then. It's not so much that the saves are using bad equipment as much as the better equipment isn't in either inventory.
Just testing a few event tweaks.
