I just wanted to direct a story for Filly Fantasy IV and I do not intend to make that hack. I've seen hacks made from ff4kster such as Unprecedented Crisis, The Darkness Within, and Final Fantasy IV: Playable Golbez Edition. I've asked DrakeClawfang if he would make Filly Fantasy IV and he said no. To summarize my comments, I wanted to see somebody make Filly Fantasy IV based on Fedorajoe's Final Fantasy IV: Playable Golbez Edition hack but changed to stay true to the MLP canon made with the program FF4kster. You can download FF4kster at http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/914/ and I hope my comments I've posted will help you make the ponified version of Final Fantasy IV with the plot staying true to the MLP cannon. I've tried FF4kster and it's a good program. If you do work on it, make sure you take notes on how you made that hack with contributions from other designers and programmers including Drakeclawfang. Sprites from http://vazcods.deviantart.com/gallery/ and http://drakeclawfang.deviantart.com/gallery/57717145/Filly-Fantasy-VI will be used as a base which will be edited to mimic each character's gameplay and outside of battle map sprites with Fluttershy's battle sprites made to mimic Edge Geraldine's battle sprites from the original game. As I said before, you'll have to get creative for Sunset Shimmer's battle sprites. I am sure that all of my comments including this one will help you with your Filly Fantasy IV project. Good luck!

I wanted to make Flash more likable as a supporting character having him act more humble than his counterpart and it would be nice to see him and Celestia fight Adagio as revenge for being mind controlled by her in Rainbow Rocks.

In case you were wondering about Fluttershy for Filly Fantasy IV, I've decided to make Fluttershy the playable ninja instead of Flash Sentry. This is because I loved her playing Shadow in Filly Fantasy VI due to the fact that she has a ninja-like personality. Being the element of kindness she is, having her play like Edge in terms of gameplay stays true to her ninja-like personality despite representing Rosa. I'll have Fluttershy throw the bomb Twilight and Rainbow Dash got from the beginning of the game and leaving the party by jumping off the ship for one time only to fly away after the bomb explodes. This is a reference to her ending in Filly Fantasy VI where she flies away from the exploding tower to save her life. She goes to a cave where all of Flash Sentry's soldiers move to after their home is destroyed by Discord. After the first Discord fight, which is an autobattle where Fluttershy loses, she rejoins the party. Flash Sentry's debut in Filly Fantasy IV will be when Twilight's friends and Luna meet Discord at the top floor of the Babel Tower. I wanted the plot to stay true to the MLP canon as possible with Sunset Shimmer joining the heroes after she breaks free from mind control just like Golbez in Fedorajoe's Final Fantasy IV: Playable Golbez Edition hack. Gameplaywise, I wanted to make Fluttershy a well-balanced character.
Before Fluttershy leaves the party: Shy:The engine can't last any longer! Twily, take the wheel! Twily:Fluttershy! Shy:We have to leave! I'll close the opening with a bomb!

Here's the commands and gameplay for each character in Filly Fantasy IV:
Trixie's commands Job: Mage Fight Black White Smoke Item Gameplay: Trixie will play just about the same as Tellah. The difference is that she will have Smoke instead of Recall. Smoke works the same as Edge's Smoke which Trixie throws a smoke bomb allowing the player to run away from random encounters at no MP cost. She's the complete opposite of Tellah in terms of gameplay beginning with 199 MP giving the player a chance to use Meteor. After using Bio, Firaga, Thundaga, and Blizzaga, she'll use Meteor and sacrifice herself to stop Sunset Shimmer's mind-control spell on Princess Luna. Unlike Tella vs. Golbez, Bio will do normal damage, Firaga will do half damage, and Thundaga/Blizzaga will do double damage.
Applejack Job: Engineer Fight Rage Steal Item Gameplay: Applejack plays just about the same as Cid Pollendina except that she can wield two weapons. She is a very good physical attacker as well. Unlike Cid in the original game, she stays with the party until the Moon Whale is summoned. Also, her weapon damage gets buffed. Rage is the same as Breserk and the battle message will say "Breserked! after that command is used." She also has the Steal Command which means that she can steel items from enemies making her very useful for a guest character.
Belle(Sweetie Belle) Job: BlkMage(Black Mage) Fight Black(Black Magic) Twin Wall Item Gameplay: She'll play similar to her big sister, but doesn't have the summon command because she is just a filly. However, she begins with all Fire, Ice, and Thunder spells. Their Pyroblast, Comet get buffed in damage but their Twin Meteor gets nerfed. They don't need Twin Stars to learn Twin Meteor. Wall works the same a Reflect and will help Sweetie Belle protect herself from magic spells minus the MP Cost.
Scoot(Scootaloo) Job: WhtMage(White Mage) Fight White(White Magic) Twin Roost Item Gameplay: She'll play just like Porom, but will begin with all spells that Cecil can learn as a Paladin. Roost is a brand new command for Scootaloo and it heals half of maximum HP at no MP cost. Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo have Twin command right from the start.
Zephyr Breeze Job: Pegasus Fight Sing Hide Item Gameplay: He'll play just like Edward in Unprecedented Crisis minus the Regen(Regenerate) command.
Bloom(Applebloom's Commands) Job Class: Fighter Fight Brace Kick Deadly Item Gameplay: She plays just like Yang in the original game, but she gets Deadly instead of Focus because she is a filly.
Unicorn Twily: Job: Unicorn Fight Htwav(Heat Wave) Black(Black magic) Item Gameplay: Twilight Sparkle as a Unicorn will begin with the same spells as Golbez from the After Years, and will start at Level 15 with Cecil's Level 15 After Years Stats. Unlike Cecil, she will start with 160 MP and will not increase until she becomes an Alicorn.
Alicorn Twily: Job: Alicorn Fight Black White Cover Item Gameplay: Alicorn Twilight Sparkle gains white magic after giving up Heat Wave and can learn spells faster than every playable character in Final Fantasy IV. Unlike Celestia, she does not have Regen(Regenerate). As an Alicorn, her magic stats are high making her very useful for the team. Staying true to her character, Twilight learns spells 10 levels lower than all the other playable characters with magic. Once she reaches Level 50, her spells will be just about the same as Fusoya's.
Luna: Job: DkKnght(Dark Knight) Fight Black(Black Magic) Dive(Jump in the original game) Item Gameplay: Unlike Kain, Luna can learn black damaging magic like Golbez staying true to her character.
Filly Rarity Job: Filly Fight Black(Black Magic) White(White Magic) Summn(Summon) Item Gameplay: She starts at Level 1 with the same level and stats Tellah joins the party and will begin with the Black Magic spells Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, Stop, and Osmose, and the White Magic spells Cura, Life, Blink, Esuna, Confuse, and Teleport. Unlike Kid Rydia, she'll have both White and Black magic.
Adult Rarity Job: Summonr(Summoner) Fight Black(Black Magic) Summn(Summon) Item Gameplay: Same as Adult Rydia in the original Final Fantasy IV. Like Adult Rydia in Final Fantasy IV, she loses the White(White Magic) command and can no longer use white magic as of the second fight against she-demon Sunset Shimmer.
Shy(Fluttershy) Job:Pegasus Fight Ninja(Ninja Magic) Throw Stare(replacing Pressure command) Item Gameplay: Other then starting with Rosa's Level 15 stats from The After Years, she'll have the Throw command which allows Fluttershy to throw shurikens, knives, and weapons. Like Edge, she will use ninjitsu and do a much better job using it. She also has Stare which stuns enemies making her an all balanced character. She'll play like Edge in battle and will be one of the composite characters in the game.
Sunset(Sunset Shimmer) Job: Unicorn Fight Black(Black Magic) Read(Works the same as Scan minus the MP Cost) Heat(She regains Heatwave since she does not become an Alicorn once she joins the party) Item Gameplay: http://thepatrickinator.deviantart.com/art/Golbez-s-stats-Final-Fantasy-IV-Playable-Golbez-610213459 will be used as a base to determine the stats for Sunset Shimmer when she joins the party. Like Golbez in the After Years, she'll start with 2971 HP at Level 50. Like Golbez, she'll have all damaging black magic spells with weaker versions of elemental spells removed to have her spells styled like Edge's ninja magic. Making her a better Playable Golbez instead of Edge, Sunset Shimmer can scan enemies except for bosses making random encounters easier. Sunset Shimmer will not have Pressure so she will have Scan instead.
Celest(Celestia) Job: Alicorn Fight Black(Black Magic) White(White Magic) Regen(Regenerate) Item Gameplay: Princess Celestia represents Fusoya and will begin at Level 50 with 2010 HP instead of 1900 and will begin with 201 MP instead of 190. The only black magic spell she will have is Meteor making her the Yin to Luna's Yang.
Flash(Flash Sentry) Despite representing Edge Geraldine, Flash Sentry will have 6 battle sprites instead of 13 since he is a non-playable character and will use Black Magic instead of Ninjitsu. His battle sprites will only appear in the two Adagio autobattles and will have Edge's Level 35 stats from The After Years with 1991 HP. He'll help Celestia use the same spells when Golbez took on Zemus in the original game, but his Firaga(Fire3),Blizzaga(Ice3),and Thundaga(Bolt3) will do more damage. Like Golbez in the original game, or Edge if you are playing the Playable Golbez Edition, he'll use Meteor on two forms of Adagio. Unfortunately, he cannot use the Crystal Heart.
You'll need ff4kster to make Filly Fantasy IV and the commands for each character shown here. Unlike Filly Fantasy VI, Filly Fantasy IV will be based on Fedorajoe's Playable Golbez Edition of Final Fantasy IV. You'll have to ask RydelFox for sprites for each playable character including Flash Sentry's 6 battle battle sprites. The battle sprites for each character is reused from Filly Fantasy VI with Sunset Shimmer's sprites from Filly Fantasy VI using pallet swaps from different Filly Fantasy VI characters to make a fully playable Sunset Shimmer. Sunset Shimmer's battle sprites for Filly Fantasy IV will match Golbez's 2D from the After Years battle sprites except for Pressure/Heat Wave which will be a palette swap of Pinkie Pie's summon magic sprite. http://botchan-mlp.deviantart.com/art/Equestria-Girls-Demon-Sunset-Shimmer-idle-403513341 is the site where if the Demon Sunset Shimmer enemy sprite which can be used for two battles against Sunset Shimmer as an enemy which can be reused against she-demon fight in the Moon Subterrane. Good luck finding all the ponified enemies and bosses with a few of them from the Equestria Girls series. Trust me, all characters will stay true to their MLP counterparts including Sunset Shimmer from the Equestria Girls series. Sunset Shimmer as a demon is the result of Adagio taking over Sunset's body using her hatred for Celestia reflecting Sunset Shimmer's demon/evil personality in her Equestria Girls debut until Celestia breaks the curse and joins the heroes afterwards similar to Golbez in the Playable Golbez Edition. Good Luck! It'll be a very hard project. Don't release that romhack until it is finished. To make the hack stay true to the MLP Cannon, Sunset and Luna's roles are switched in the ending and Rainbow Dash takes over for Kain in the beginning until Rarity(Rydia) summons a monster that uses quake which normally separates Kain and Cecil in the original game. Some of the new commands will have to be replaced with ones that were not as useful in the original game with most of the new ones based on the Final Fantasy IV: Unprecedented Crisis hack, which you'll need to have a separate rom file for that. Use ff4kster with the Unprecedented Crisis hack checking the commands from that hack and use that as a reference.

I was thinking about a Ponified Final Fantasy IV romhack. I've played the Golbez version of Final Fantasy IV and I thought about having the ponified version of Final Fantasy IV be based on the Playable Golbez Edition of Final Fantasy IV. If you guys are interested, you can check the comments I made here about making that hack. I apologize if this is spam. If you are confused about the battle characters using ff4kster, the playable character says Edge but Golbez will take his place as playable character and he will be played by Sunset Shimmer. The non-playable character says Golbez but will be switched to Edge Geraldine and he will be played by Flash Sentry. Obviously, I wanted the ponified Final Fantasy IV romhack to have almost all the playable characters as females like Filly Fantasy VI made by DrakeClawfang.

Alright! I've made the spell list for Luna for Filly Fantasy IV. After Trixie sacrifices herself disabling the mind-control spell by Sunset, Luna finally joins the heroes and will act as a Black Mage cause she is a Dark Knight. Unlike her counterpart, Luna never leaves the party until the end of the game. As both Luna and Sunset Shimmer are mind controlled by Adagio, they will know black magic as playable characters. Luna will learn damaging black magic to stay true to her character and balance her out.

In case you were wandering about the setting for Filly Fantasy IV, it will take place during the Hearth's Warming era of Equestria. That will be appropriate to the to the setting of Final Fantasy IV and would fit in the overall narrative. Speaking about the Adagio autobattles for Filly Fantasy IV, it would be great seeing Flash Sentry use his black magic against Adagio as revenge for being mind controlled by her in Rainbow Rocks. That's the only time we see Flash Sentry's battle sprites. It would be great seeing Flash Sentry for the second half of the game and see him act like General Leo while assisting the Equestria Girls. Flash Sentry's debut in Filly Fantasy IV is when Discord talks about him feeling angry about Cinch using Discord's magic without permission to turn his parents into monsters.

Oh yeah! Fluttershy's counterparts for Filly Fantasy IV would be Rosa, Cid when she throws the bomb, than Edge after she escapes the explosion where it is revealed she got away and escaped to the cave. When we see Discord for the first time where Fluttershy loses, she returns to her normal counterpart. The true Edge is Flash Sentry's debut as a supporting character is when Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Luna, and Fluttershhy see Discord for the second time. It would be great to add the option of having Fluttershy take on Discord herself.
Fluttershy vs. Discord fight. "HP and MP restored!" "Would you like to take on Discord with Fluttershy alone?" If you say yes: Shy:I'll deal with Discord myself. If it's a fight to the death he wants, it's a fight to the death he'll get! Discord:Very well. I will show you no mercy!
Regardless of outcome if you win with Fluttershy alone or with the playable five, he will say the same thing no matter what.

For the final room in the game of Filly Fantasy IV, it would be great to have Luna and Sunset switch positions. Luna will be in Golbez's position, or Edge if you are playing the original game, and Sunset Shimmer will be in Kain's position. That way, Luna can congratulate her big sister on her victory against Adagio. Sunset Shimmer can go back to Equestria in peace after Adagio has been dealt with whereas Luna departs with her sister in peace after apologizing to everypony for the damage she had done knowing that she was the one that started this mess to begin with.

Sunset Shimmer's menu sprite is based on Edge Geraldine's menu sprite from the original Final Fantasy IV, but will be a playable Golbez unlike her counterpart since Filly Fantasy IV's plot will stay true to the MLP cannon. Obviously, it will be a mashup of the original game with fedorajoe's Playable Golbez Edition with a My Little Pony twist. This is to make a Final Fantasy IV like nobody played before.

Once you guys are done making that hack, send me the source of where to download it. I wanted each character in Filly Fantasy IV to stay true to their counterparts and Generation IV MLP counterparts with a twist to some characters. For example, Fluttershy will be is the playable ninja and is one of the three composite characters in Filly Fantasy IV having Edge's gameplay with one sprite of Fluttershy using Stare which is the palette swap of Edge's Throw sprite. You have no deadlines to make that hack.

Once TileShop - Flexible Graphics Editor is released in the future, you guys can work on the sprites for Filly Fantasy IV. I'd suggest you use the FF2US v1.1 rom so you can use FF4kster to work on a literal ponification of Final Fantasy IV.

To avoid confusion, only the spell names in Filly Fantasy IV should be changed to match their modern day counterparts. Let's bring back the cure potions and ether names from the American version of Final Fantasy II including elixirs.

I'd love to see a ninja and a minor villain working together for once. This is why I decided to have Flash act like his own character and appear for only the second half of the story but not become playable having battle sprites only for the two Adagio autobattles and lose to the main antagonist because he used the crystal heart to get revenge on Adagio for killing his parents. That is why I am having Fluttershy become the playable ninja. She will act like Rosa for the first half of the story and will represent Edge for the second half. Don't worry, Sunset will still be playable. Sunset will join the party after she's free from mind control.

On second thought, how about we make Sunburst the Elder for Filly Fantasy IV. Sunburst would be a perfect ponified version of the elder. Not only he has a beard like his counterpart, but he is just as wise as he is.

On Second Thought, let's have Applebloom become Yang. As I said, she'll represent Kain for the first part of the story until Rarity uses Quake from a monster that will knock down and then she will become Yang from there on out. Bloom's Commands will be the same as Yang's from the Hard-Type Edition of Final Fantasy IV. Her job class will be Fighter. Applebloom's gameplay would be the same as Yang's. Bloom's Commands: Fight Brace:Works the same way as Protect except that it will not cost MP and it will say "Defense power increased!" Kick Deadly:She's a filly so it made sense to give her a strong attack. Item
The reason why it would be better for Applebloom to represent Yang is because the bow on her hair can be the counterpart to Yang's braided ponytail and she did Karate as shown in Call of the Cutie.

I hope somebody makes Filly Fantasy IV be awesome than ever. Filly Fantasy IV will be based on the Playable Golbez Edition of Final Fantasy IV with the plot changed to stay as close to the MLP canon as possible. For example, starting actor will be the pony who represents Yang in the hack is where we started with Kain in the original game. Ending actor will be where Golbez used to be in the original game and that position will be for the pony who represents Kain in the hack. The only similarities from the original game is where Starlight will represent Anna and die the same way her counterpart did. Trixie will be like Tellah except that she will be the only character with the MP Overflow which will be reverted back to normal for the first Sunset Shimmer fight. The battle where Trixie dies after the first fight against Sunset Shimmer will be just about the same as Tellah's death. Tellah's death was after the fact he used Meteor which was too much for him to handle. Trixie dies after using Meteor since she tackled Sunset Shimmer only to be hit by a Meteor of her own ending her life.

Sunset Shimmer will join the party as a playable character after she breaks free from mind-control and is a buffed up version of Edge. Her weaker damaging-black magic is removed and her Fire3, Ice3, Bolt3 is renamed Blaze, Frost, and Shock respectively. Sunset will not have the throw command since we can't have two ninjas for Filly Fantasy IV. The animation for the Fang_Items will be Sunset's version of Bolt, Ice, and Fire magic. Twilight will be a powerful magic caster and will learn powerful magic when she levels up. We'll have to balance her out using FF4kster for that. The two weaker spells of Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder are eliminated. Her Fire3, Ice3, and Bolt3 are replaced and renamed Fire, Ice, and Bolt. The magic animations for Fang-items will be Twilight's versions of Fire, Ice, and Bolt respectively.

Sunset Shimmer's personality as a she-demon is both a psychopath and sociopath combined. As an evildoer, she cares about nobody but herself and forgoes friendship lusting for absolute beauty and power to rule Equestria with an iron fist. Under Adagio's evil spell, she treats herself like a princess and will play god to keep it that way. Her lust for beauty and power has driven her to hate Twilight after the later becomes an alicorn princess. She plays god with others to her own benefits and takes pride in the crimes she commits, acts sadistic with a dark sense of humor to fool others, and turned an innocent princess into a pawn of evil only to be betrayed by her pawn once again after the former resists her mind-control spell. When things don't Sunset Shimmer's way, she acts very childish and inmature. After her plans for princesshood and world domination were foiled by physically weaker ponies, she suffers a mental breakdown and swears to kill them with death. In summary, Adagio's evil willpower was too much for Sunset Shimmer to handle.
As it turns out, Sunset Shimmer was brainwashed by Adagio Dazzle as Adagio took advantage of her hatred and loneliness doing her master's dirty work in order to have Adagio rule Equestria with an iron fist and obtain princesshood as soon as possible. When Sunset brakes free from mind control, she feels guilty for all the evil she had done under Adagio's spell and decides to punish her master for the crimes she committed under her spell. After remembering her real name, she regained friendship and acted like a big sister to Twilight Sparkle. Before Flash decides to kill Sunset, she tells him to punish Adagio Dazzle first. Not to be controlled by Adagio again, she tells Princess Celestia to quickly go after Adagio and stays with her best friend in order to not lose her mind to Adagio again like she did before. After joining Twilight's friends, Sunset swears to kill Adagio to atone for her sins in order to end the threat she helped rise without sacrificing her life. After defeating Adagio, she felt no remorse for destroying her master's world domination plan and departs to Equestria peacefully knowing that everypony has forgiven her.

Setting for Filly Fantasy IV is Heart's Warming Eve Era Equestria. I think that Starlight would be perfect playing Anna in Filly Fantasy IV and because it is said that she is a powerful magic caster in the TV Show. Trixie would be perfect playing Tellah cause she's a magic caster like her counterpart. She would be the only playable character to start with 199 MP making it easier for the player to use Meteor and will stay at 199 even if the player levels up. Unlike her counterpart, Trixie's physical stats including HP increase when she levels up, staying true to her great and powerful personality as a very young unicorn. Like her counterpart, she dies after using Meteor on Sunset Shimmer's she-demon form. Trixie sacrifices herself in order to disable Sunset Shimmer's mind control spell on Luna making it easy for Luna to resist Sunset Shimmer's temptation once again.

Unlike the original game, Twilight remembers the purple-haired filly and can tell that Rarity has grown to be a beautiful mare!

If you're wondering what I mean about Sunset Shimmer being a buffed up version of Edge, she'll have black magic in the style of ninja magic. Her spells are Blaze, Frost, Shock, Bio, Osmose, Drain, Quake, Flare, and Meteor. Fire1 and Fire2 are removed but Fire3 is kept and is renamed to Blaze. Ice1 and Ice2 is removed but Ice3 is kept and is renamed Frost. Bolt1 and Bolt2 is removed but Bolt3 is kept and is renamed Shock. Obviously, Sunset Shimmer's elemental spells are buffed in damage with everything else kept intact to make her a well balanced character. She may not be a strong magic caster compared to Twilight with her Alicorn magic, but Sunset Shimmer's damaging black magic is no laughing matter. The Fang Items will be replaced with ninja edges which can only be thrown by Fluttershy having the animation of Edge's Blitz, Flame, and Flood.

It would be great if we add a solo battle in Filly Fantasy IV. Fluttershy takes on Discord by herself and it's easier to do it with Fluttershy alone than with the other four ponies like Rarity, AJ, Luna, and Twily.

It would be fair to have the minor villain and ninja working together. To make Sunset Shimmer and a ninja playable, Flash Sentry had to be downgraded to a non-playable character. I've seen somebody play Filly Fantasy VI and it would be great to have a playable ninja for almost all of Filly Fantasy IV.

Sunset Shimmer's commands for Filly Fantasy IV are: Fight Black(Sunset Shimmer's Black Magic will be a variation of Edge's Ninjitsu and weaker versions of Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, are removed. Firaga(Fire3), Blizzaga(Ice3), and Thundaga(Bolt3) is renamed Blaze, Frost, and Shock. Sunset Shimmers Spell List: Gale Shadow Demon Blaze Frost Shock Bio Quake Drain Osmose Flare Meteor
As a playable character, she is a well-balanced character in terms of using magic and is a tank. Sunset's Gale, Blaze, Frost, Shock, Bio, Quake, and Drain will do double damage than normal. Ignore the Double Black Magic(W-Blk) for Sunset Shimmer as it will be Twilight's command. Replacing Double Black for Sunset Shimmer is Heatwave and it will be like Cecil's Darkwave attack but stronger. Gale is a nerfed Tornado/Weak and it will act like Aero3 from Final Fantasy III but costs 20MP to cast and has a casting time of 2. Shadow is obviously Edge's Shadowbind, but acts like Golbez's Pressure as it merely attempts to inflict Paralysis on enemies with a casting time of 3 and costs 20MP. Demon reduces all opponents' HP to 1 using the Arise/Raise animation and costs 20MP to use with a casting time of 3.

Here are the playable characters for the upcoming Filly Fantasy IV hack:
Unicorn Twilight: As Twilight starts as a Unicorn, she can use black magic and starts with the same spells Golbez began with in The After Years. Like her counterpart in Unprecedented Crisis, Twilight Sparkle's commands will be Fight, Black, Darkwave(Heatwave in this version), and Item. She'll begin as a unicorn like the TV Show and will have weaker magic at first since Adagio stripped Twilight Sparkle of her powers.
Alicorn Twilight: When Twilight becomes an Alicorn, she can also learn White Magic sacrificing Heatwave. Staying true to her character from the TV Show, she'll be the most beautiful and powerful alicorn in the game and will be the most useful magic caster to the team. She will act as a mage unlike her Final Fantasy IV counterpart and will be a buffed up version of Fusoya.
Luna: Luna will play just about the same as her counterpart in The After Years except she can cast black magic spells with the same spell set as Golbez from The After Years.
Rarity: Rarity will play exactly like her counterpart starting with black and white spells as a filly. When the second fight against Sunset Shimmer begins, she will act as a Summoner and is revealed that she grew up to be a beautiful mare. As a beautiful mare, she will cast black magic like her little sister.
Trixie: Trixie will act like Tellah in the original game but will become a buffed up version of that character because she is very young. During the time she is alive, she will begin with 1990 HP and will be the only character to start with 199 MP allowing the player to use Meteor. This stays true to her Great and Powerful Trixie persona from the TV Show. She will be the only guest character to be overpowered during the time she's playable. Like her counterpart, she dies after using Meteor on Sunset Shimmer. Now that I think about it, she will act as the polar opposite of Dracula from Castlevania. The reverse is, Starlight Glimmer was the only friend she loved the most and seeing her best friend murdered by a demon has driven her to hate all demons as they are the ones responsible for crimes against ponykind.
Zephyr(Zephyr Breeze) Zephyr Breeze will act like Edward and will play just about the same as his counterpart in Unprecedented Crisis.
Shy(Fluttershy) Fluttershy is the only playable ninja in the game and her gameplay will be a mashup of Rosa and Edge. As a playable ninja, her early damaging ninjitsu spells are buffed up with Flame, Flood, Blitz doing more damage than Edge in the original game. She will start with Flame, Flood, Blitz, Flash, Smoke, and Mirage. As the fight against Discord begins, she gains healing ninja magic. The other spells that she will learn by leveling up will work the same as black magic ending with Meteor doing 1/2 the maximum damage. Her Stare sprite will be the same as Edge's throw from the original game, and will have Stare which works like Hold except it will not cost MP. She will represent Rosa for the first half of the story than Edge during the second half replacing Flash Sentry as a playable character.
Belle(Sweetie Belle) and Scoot(Scootaloo) Belle and Scoot will play just about the same as their counterparts with the difference of having the Twin Magic command at the start during the short time they are playable. Scootaloo will have Roost instead of Cry because she is just about a teenager. Sweetie Belle will have the Wall Command which casts Reflect minus the MP Cost. Sweetie Belle will play Palom whereas Scootaloo will play Porom.
Applejack: Applejack will play just like Cid in Unprecedented Crisis except that she will have Steal instead of Dash. Obviously, 2 out of the 4 commands will be the same as her counterpart in Fedorajoe's Final Fantasy IV: Playable Golbez Edition hack. She can wield two weapons instead of one and will act like Cid from the original game but will stay with the party until the Moon Whale is summoned.
Sunset: Sunset will act like Golbez in the original game, but will be playable unlike her counterpart after she breaks free from mind control. As a playable character, she will play like Golbez in Fedorajoe's Playable Golbez hack but she won't have Pressure. She'll have Read instead of Pressure which will act like Scan. Her Read ability is similar to how she read human minds as of Equestria Girls: Legends of Everfree. Obviously, 4 out of the 5 commands are the same as Golbez as of version 3.0 of Fedorajoe's Playable Golbez hack. Sunset Shimmer's black magic spells are the black magic variation of ninjitsu and her first three spells are Gale, Shadow, and Demon.The spells after Demon is Blaze, Frost, Shock, Bio, Quake, Drain, Osmose, Flare, and Meteor. The weaker versions of Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder are removed to mimic the layout of various ninja characters in the After Years. In summary, Sunset Shimmer is a buffed up version of both Golbez and Edge. I wanted to make the players feel happy playing as Sunset Shimmer very late in the game.
Celest(Princess Celestia): Celestia will play just about the same as Fusoya. The differences from her counterpart is that she will start with 2010 HP and 201 MP. She will have Meteor as her only black magic ability. This is because I wanted to make Celestia Benevolent but Opposite of Luna as Luna is still benevolent but casts damaging Black Magic spells.

You guys are welcome to use my ideas for Filly Fantasy IV. You have my permission. There will be a few characters that will receive special needs throughout the story. Twilight Sparkle receives special needs only as a unicorn because Adagio stripped Twilight Sparkle of her magical powers and she needs friendship to become an alicorn princess if she wants to overcome evil. Applebloom receives special needs only for a short time after she is brainwashed by the Storm King who is revealed to be King Sombra. Luna receives special needs after she is brainwashed by Sunset Shimmer as a demon and needs more protection in case she succumbs to evil again. And finally, Sunset Shimmer. Sunset Shimmer is a perfect example of a person receiving special needs, because Sunset Shimmer turned against Twilight after being victim to Adagio's evil influence and she needs friendship to overcome evil in order to undo her past misdeeds.

Story Events I came up with for Filly Fantasy IV:
1.When you find Zephyr(Zephyr Breeze) in bed, Shy's(Fluttershy's) younger brother gives you the TwinLyre which synchronizes his harp sound to project weakening Rover Party:Twily(Twilight),Bloom(Applebloom) AJ(Applejack),Trixie 2.Fluttershy throws a bomb off the ship and and the four girls escape a hole, sealing it. She flies away to escape the explosion and leaves the party. Party:Twily(Twilight),Luna, AJ(Applejack),Rarity 3.The Party sees Fluttershy and discover that she was training to become a powerful ninja. They also discover that she went to a cave to go after Discord. Shy(Fluttershy) takes on Discord and loses.The party comes to a wounded Fluttershy. She is healed and rejoins the party. Party:Twily(Twilight), Luna, AJ(Applejack), Rarity,Shy(Fluttershy) 4."It looks like somebody found a secret entrance." 5.Monsters are just about the same from the original Final Fantasy IV in the Tower of Babil but ponified. 6.The Party sees a weakened Flash Sentry, and discover that he lost to Discord. "He was upset that his parents became monsters, and he got angry!" Shy(Fluttershy) decides to fight Discord by herself after losing to him the first time. Alternatively, the party decides to take on Discord to avenge Flash Sentry. Party:Twily(Twilight),Luna, Shy(Fluttershy),Rarity, AJ(Applejack) 7.Flash is in bed, then he wakes up to upgrade the ship. Flash is praised by the girls for his hard work, and takes a long rest. 8.Upon exciting the Sealed Cave, Sunset shows up and tempts Luna to come with her and bring the crystal. Luna resists Sunset's mind control as Luna had enough of Sunset's dishonest tactics. Sunset incapacitates the Party and takes the crystal. Party:Twily(Twilight),Luna,Rarity, Shy(Fluttershy),AJ(Applejack) 9.AJ(Applejack) stays back in case anything bad happens. Flash Sentry is wounded after helping Applejack with the ship upgrades. Party:Twily(Twilight),Luna, Rarity,Shy(Fluttershy) 10.Sunset is saved by Celest(Celestia) from Adagio's spell after being led astray. Sunset regains her friendship and acts like a big sister to Twilight. Celest(Celestia) goes with Flash to fight Adagio in order to prevent Sunset from going astray again. Sunset joins the pretty ladies to recieve special needs in order to atone for her past sins. Party:Twily(Twilight),Luna,Rarity, Shy(Fluttershy),Sunset 11.Everything in the final battle involves General Flash(Flash Sentry)
Using the differences from the Playable Golbez Edition compared to the original game, I've wanted the story to stay true to the MLP canon. First half the story is the same as the original game but the second half of the story will be more unpredictable like fedorajoe's Playable Golbez Edition hack. The reason why I chose Fluttershy to be the playable ninja is because they have been not much family-friendly video games with ninja girls. To make Sunset Shimmer playable, Flash Sentry had to be downgraded into a supporting character. In other words, Flash Sentry had to act like General Leo minus the fact that he isn't playable.

thank you for reformatting in your latest installment of what will no doubt be a feasible and successful hack. due to unforeseen financial hardship, i recently lost Internet access. thus, i am resorting to surfing the Net through a generous but overly cautious neighbor's mail slot. posts with wider lines are baffling at best, or horrible taunting of what i'm missing at worst. i expect to emerge from this downturn stronger than ever, and seek no material handouts here. however, i do lean on my SNES hacking brethren for moral support even more than usual. it's the little things that matter. from encouraging words, to playtesting, to aiding in deciphering for projects in my growing backlog, to formatting posts to have a width equal to that of the mail slot. all of these kind gestures will help me stay afloat in my ROM hacking, and inspire me to get back on my feet faster; all of them will be fondly remembered. I hope you find a better internet connection! Filly Fantasy IV is going to be an amazing hack for sure. I've heard complaints about having a weak ninja as a playable character and we don't play as the minor villain in the original game. To balance it out, we're going to have both the ninja and minor villain as playable characters. In other words, Fluttershy and Sunset Shimmer are going to be playable. To make this possible, Flash Sentry had to be downgraded into a supporting character. He will act like General Leo but is not playable, although we do see his battle sprites in the two autobattles before the final fight. I can tell that it's going to take a long time for you to make Filly Fantasy IV unless you find a better internet connection. Zephyr Breeze's battle sprites will be a palette swap of Rosa's with some of Edward sprites transformed into Zephyr Breeze. Applebloom's(Bloom) battle sprites will mostly be based on Edward with some of Yang's battle sprites transformed into Applebloom. Filly Fantasy IV is going to be an awesome pony localization of Final Fantasy IV. The majority of story will stay true to the MLP Canon with some parts of the story and the first half of it will be the same as the original game. As an Easter Egg, Ursa Minor would be fought where Shadow Dragon used to be in Fedorajoe's Playable Golbez hack of Final Fantasy IV using the Monster214 data replaced with the Ursa Minor graphic. The battle theme for Ursa Minor would be the Battle with the Four Fiends. His introduction would be "I am the Ursa Minor. All who defy Adagio must be eliminated!" This is a reference to the his battle dialogue in Filly Fantasy VI where he must destroy ponies with defy King Sombra and the Battle with the Four Friends is the same song that is played when Ultima Weapon was fought in The After Years. When Sunset Shimmer appears as a demon, the room turns red similar to Golbez in the original game.

As I said, the first half of the story is the same as the original Final Fantasy IV. Before the second half begins, story will be just the Playable Golbez Edition except that we will still have a playable ninja and the ninja items/gear remain the same as the original game. Don't worry, Fluttershy will have upgraded ninja armor by the time she rejoins the party. You'll be grateful to have a ninja girl as a well-balanced character with Sunset Shimmer acting as a tank. Reference to "You're never gonna bring me down!", Sunset Shimmer will take minor damage from almost all enemies and you'll be grateful having her as a playable character once she joins the party. Scootaloo as Porom and Sweetie Belle as Palom would be teenage versions of their counterparts. Sweetie Belle will be perfect as Palom as her voice at the time of this comment sounds like a teenage version of that character. Scootaloo would be perfect as Porom as her voice is just about a teenage version of that character. Scootaloo would match Porom perfectly, as seeing Porom's design in The After Years made me think of Scootaloo as Porom's My Little Pony Counterpart.

It's been about half a month since my last replay, but it's great to be back again. Sunset Shimmer's sprite has been updated with Heatwave replacing Mug. Her Heatwave sprite is a palette swap of Golbez's Darkwave sprite from version 1-2.1 of Fedorajoe's Playable Golbez Hack of Final Fantasy IV. I have decided to have Shadow Tempest from the MLP movie become Barbariccia. Seeing her behavior before her redemption, it's perfect to have her play that character. I've watched Late 2016 My Little Pony: The Movie by the way. Here's the Japanese version of the Filly Fantasy IV title screen. Playable Character family Relationships is Filly Fantasy IV: Applebloom and Applejack are sisters. Sweetie Belle and Rarity are sisters. Zephyr is Fluttershy's younger brother. Luna and Tia(Celestia) are sisters. Shiny and Amore are Twilight Sparkle's older siblings. Sunset Shimmer is Twilight Sparkle's best friend and adopted older sister. Flurry Heart is all grown up here and is the daughter of Princess Amore and Shining Armor. Scootaloo is Rainbow Dash's adopted sister but her older sister is not playable.
The reason why I've decided to make Sunset Shimmer Twilight Sparkle's adopted older sister because she plays Golbez and having her become a playable Golbez stays true to the MLP canon. I've watched My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the 2017 My Little Pony movie, and Equestria Girls and that inspired me to make Filly Fantasy IV be based on the Playable Golbez Edition. Unlike the original Final Fantasy IV, most of the storyline is based on the MLP canon. The beginning and end is different to stay true to the MLP canon. Applebloom takes over for Kain during the beginning of the game, and Luna takes over for Golbez at the ending before Sunset Shimmer and her sister/friends go back to Equestria. If you're wondering, shards are crystals for Filly Fantasy IV. You're going to be happy when that hack comes out. I'am the director of that hack and you'll enjoy that game once it's released.

I have decided that the spirit talking to Twilight Sparkle shortly before she becomes a princess will be Starswirl the Bearded. The reason for this is because, Twilight has to become an alicorn if she wants to defeat the evil she-demon. Here's the script before she goes back to the starting town where she sees Storm King who is King Sombra in disguise.
"My Little Princess..." Twily:Starswirl!? You've grown to be a beautiful lady... I will give you my friendship. My friendship will be an apology for my selfish behavior. (Twily transforms into an Alicorn) You must amend your past guilt! Understanding friendship will make you stronger and beautiful than ever before. Defeat her...Your old unicorn self! (Unicorn and Alicorn Twilight meet each other) Trixie:2 Twiliys?! Belle:What's going on here? Scoot:Twily! Trixie:Twily! Belle:Watch out! Scoot:Princess Twily! Twily:Stand back! This is my fight! Before we get to the the final battle and ending part of the game, there's a she-demon fight script and that's where you get the Daybreaker sword where you got the Masamune for Edge in the original game and will be the red colored sword like Edge's strongest weapon. It will have no effect on the ending since I promised that Sunset Shimmer will get a happy ending after she defeats Adagio punishing her master for all the crimes she had done in Equestria.
(Daybreaker) (Room turns purely red) "You ponies of Equestia dare challenge me, the sword of demonic energy...?" Sunset:This evil presence? I've heard of this before... "Rejected princess! Amend your past guilt! Then you can face Adagio Dazzle!" (Battle against She-Demon) Sunset:My...my light has returned! "Sunset regains her true self!" Well done, Sunset Shimmer! You have become as strong as your adopted little sister, Twilight Sparkle! Become the lightbearer and slay Adagio with this sacred sword! "Recieved Daybreaker!"

Unlike the original game, Sunset will return back to Equestria because she defeated Adagio and everyone forgave Sunset Shimmer as they were wrong about who Sunset Shimmer really was.
(Scene shifts to Canterlot Castle, Twily's room) Shy:Twily? Twily:I...I thought I heard Princess Luna. Shy:Twily!? Twily:Never mind... Sunset:What are you two girls doing? We have a princess ceremony! Shy:Sorry about that! Sunset:You have friends waiting to see you! Or should I say, ninja princess? Shy:Fluttershy is fine. Sunset:Fluttershy! You are the flower girl for the ceremony! Come on down! Shy:Okay, Sunset! (Sunset leaves) Shy:It's been a while since we last saw our friends! Come on, Twily! (Shy leaves) Twily: I did hear her... She said... Goodbye... (Scene shifts to Canterlot Castle throne room) (Princess coronation begins. Twily, Shy, AJ, and Sunset are present. The first four menu sprites are Rarity, Filly Rarity, Unicorn Twilight, and Applejack which are ponified menu sprites of Adult Rydia, Kid Rydia, Unicorn Twilight, and Alicorn Twilight. Sunset Shimmer's menu sprite for Filly Fantasy IV will be done in the style of Edge Geraldine's menu sprite from the original game even though she represents playable Golbez for Filly Fantasy IV.

Because of picture size limits, I had to make separate files for Trixie and Applebloom. The last two pictures for ponified Tellah and Yang feature Trixie and Applebloom. Applebloom is shortened to Bloom due to name size limits. The pictures I researched for menu sprites fit to whatever each pony play as.

If you are wondering about Adagio, I've wanted to make her a perfect example of a pure narcissist. Even when Adagio's base form is destroyed, she is beautiful but deadly. Because she represents Zemus, I've wanted to make Adagio the Satan of the game. She plays god to her own benefits without any care to everyone but herself. When Adagio controls Sunset, her pawn is a complete egotist wanting revenge against Twilight Sparkle as Twilight is the source of her hatred, jealousy, and loneliness even though she does remember Twilight when she sees her as a princess. Adagio's base form is Adagio's face minus her afro hair mashed up with Zemus. As I said, Adagio's siren forms take over for Zeromus cause she is a girl that lusts for princesshood and wants nothing more than to take over Equestria with an iron fist as princess.

I've heard complaints from Final Fantasy IV players about Edge being the weak ninja and we didn't get to play as the minor villain in the original game. I've decided to have the ninja and minor villain playable in Filly Fantasy IV as a result of this complaint. The ninja character will be Fluttershy and will act like a ninja princess. Like Golbez in fedorajoe's hack of Final Fantasy IV, Sunset Shimmer will the final playable character for Filly Fantasy IV. This hack will have positive reviews from many Final Fantasy IV players once it is released.

If you guys are wondering about the overworld sprites for Filly Fantasy IV, you're going to have to use the overworld sprites from Filly Fantasy VI and Pony Fantasy VI as a base especially the ones seen from https://vazcods.deviantart.com/gallery/ and https://drakeclawfang.deviantart.com/gallery/57717145/Filly-Fantasy-VI as a base with some replies on this site telling the sources of battle sprites.

Wait I'm confused... you said you don't have time to work on this hack, but you have time to post all this stuff regarding this hypothetical project?! Why not just get in there and start working on it yourself, looks like you've planned it all out quite well and spent a considerable amount of time that you do not have doing so. I highly doubt anyone is going to make this hack FOR you, but if there ever is (God forbid) a Filly Fantasy IV, I suppose all this info would be nice to have. It's been an amusing thread at least, and for that I thank you!

I forgot to mention that Sunset Shimmer as a boss will be a glass cannon as a villain. As a hero, she will be a tank as a playable character. As I said before, I've wanted players to feel happy playing Sunset Shimmer cause saving her for last as the strongest playable character will make this game likable.

The reason why I did this is because I wanted to stay true to the original Japanese script but with a family-friendly approach.
The script for the entire game will keep the tone of the Japanese version mixed with Fedorajoe's Playable Golbez Edition script but use some lines from My Little Pony: The 2017 Movie, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and the Equestria Girls Series.

I've discovered that Filly Rydia battle sprites has to be edited from Kid Rydia's battle sprites. As I said, Kid Rydia is played by Filly Rarity and Mare Rarity will play Adult Rydia.

Fluttershy's Spells are a variation of Ninjitsu and have all Damaging Ninjitsu buffed minus Meteor which will do 1/2 the maximum damage. What ninjitsu spells should Fluttershy have? I know that Meteor should be saved for midway toward the spell list Fluttershy. The reason why I nerfed Meteor for Fluttershy is because Meteor doesn't suit Pegasus ponies so it made sense why it had to be nerfed for Fluttershy. We didn't like playing the ninja in the original Final Fantasy IV so playing as a female ninja and balancing her out makes Fluttershy better than Edge.

Flash Sentry's background: Rejecting his ninja ways and born from the land of ninja ponies, Flash Sentry is a general trying to save Equestria no matter what it takes. He despises an anti-hero named Discord for turning his parents into monsters and challenges him to a battle. Discord was too much for Flash Sentry to handle and relies on the Equestria girls to stop Discord. After the fight, Flash Sentry thanks the girls for stopping Discord and avenging his loss. Knowing the naivete of his ways, he decides to take the blame on Sunset Shimmer for her cruel and dishonest ways of taking over Equestria. He is very supportive to Applejack and Twilight's friends and is praised by them for his hard work. Finally seeing Sunset Shimmer, he punishes the demon responsible for murdering his parents only to realize that Cinch betrayed Discord and used chaos magic for her selfish ways. Before he decides to kill Sunset Shimmer, Flash is stopped by the kind words of Rarity and realizes that Adagio is the one to blame and hate for Sunset Shimmer's evil ways taking the blame on that demon instead. He is happy that Princess Celestia is okay and assists her to stop Adagio knowing that his magic should be super effective against the evil demon. Finally seeing Adagio, true culprit of his parents' death, he assists Celestia in stopping Adagio's demon form having little to no problem taking her out. Even when Adagio's death unleashed her siren form, he takes his fury on his true archenemy having no clams of cheap tactics to take her out. With Meteor having no effect, he tries the Crystal Heart which doesn't work. The mighty Flash Sentry falls for the last time to Adagio's siren form after being consumed with vengeance. After being struck down by Meteor, Flash Sentry gives Twilight the Crystal Heart to finish Adagio.

All spell names for Filly Fantasy IV will be the same as the Japanese version of Final Fantasy IV with minor differences. Bolt1 will be Bolt, Bolt2 will be Boltera, and Bolt3 will be Boltega. Ice1 will be Ice, Ice2 will be Icera, and Ice3 will be Icega. Holy will be kept Holy. What do you guys think about that Idea?

Filly Fantasy IV will be based on the Japanese Version of Filly Fantasy IV and fedorajoe's Playable Golbez Edition hack of Final Fantasy IV while staying true to the MLP. This is what I think how the final product of Filly Fantasy IV will work out. It will please all the My Little Pony fans, Final Fantasy IV fans, and bronies. Trixie was intended to die like Tellah because I wanted Trixie to be the most powerful guest character and seeing her sacrifice her life after defeating Sunset Shimmer for the first time would be logical. Celest(Princess Celestia) is a weaker guest which is intended to be since she is playable for only the giant mission. It would make sense seeing all the playable characters as pretty ladies for the giant mission because we see Celestia and Luna team up as sisters for one time and have their reunion saved for the ending. This way, Filly Fantasy IV will be great.

He's an attachment of the She-Demon fight! She-Demon is based on the Darkside superboss from Fedorajoe's Final Fantasy IV: Playable Golbez Edition hack. She-Demon will fight the same as Darkside, but can be affected by Aero which can make the fight end quicker. If that happens, She-Demon will counterattack with the same move but one weapon attack will end the fight. The fight picture you see is the same as when Sunset Shimmer is fought for real, but Sunset is in Applebloom's Position since the fight is against Sunset Shimmer's Darkside. Unlike other bosses, the fight music against She-Demon is Sunset, the Demon Queen, and will not play the victory music if she is defeated.

I wish assassin the best of luck for making Filly Fantasy IV! Guys, I'm only a planner for romhacks. If you have any ideas for a romhack you guys are working on, you're welcome to use my ideas after I give them to you. Anyways, Filly Fantasy IV answers the question "What if Final Fantasy IV was localized with My Little Pony characters?" One thing is for sure, the biggest disadvantages of Final Fantasy IV is not having the minor villain become a playable character and playing as the weak ninja. To play both the minor villain and ninja at the same time, Flash Sentry had to be a non-playable character and act as an supporting character to the girls.

Since we had Tellah lose his daughter in the original Filly Fantasy IV, how about we have Trixie lose her father in Filly Fantasy IV. Jackpot gets killed after sacrificing his life to save Trixie. Trixie blames Sunset for her father's death and gets killed by Meteor after tackling Sunset not paying attention to what was behind her. She tells others to avenge Jackpot and herself before dying. Trixie's friend will be in the Tower of Hope next to Amore. Her name is Starlight Glimmer. After completing the giant mission, Starlight will pray for Sunset Shimmer and her friends. Starlight's map sprite is a palette swap of Rydia's. You'll have to use Edge Geraldine's two map sprites and Flash Sentry's battle sprites from Filly Fantasy VI edited with Jackpot's colors.
