Looks like you've drawn the skills menu text to the status screen, compare the text in your hack and an unmodified copy of FF3us, I'm betting you accidentally overwrote a $00 byte or something of the sort.

I'm more or less contemplating reworking the statistical, magic, item, and other engine data to both make it challenging as well as different. I'm still hashing out ideas...give me a few weeks to show some progress.
I don't know if you've noticed, but the last time you hacked this song in, it was missing some instruments after the first loop. Not the case anymore. What'd you do differently?
These spells, did you want them randomly cast or usable if used as an item? If the latter, did you want them to be consumed when used or not?
Okay, I assigned them all using the existing magic-casting weapons as a template:
Most weapons only randomly cast their spells.
Rods randomly cast, can be used as an item, and break when used.
Both weapons with Vanish don't randomly cast, they have to be used as an item, only target the user, and break when used.
Only thing I'm not sure of are the Avengers, wasn't sure if they were supposed to randomly berserk the enemies or not.
It makes me wonder WTF happened the first time around...
Rune Blade was supposed to rando-cast (my new word) Fire2 me thinks.
It casts Fire3.
A lot of your weapons seems to have spells assigned to it, but have not enabled the bit to cast them.

Something worth noting is that a multitargeted spell ends up being single targeting when attached to a weapon. For Slow2, it makes no difference if you use Slow (unless they have completely different hit rates)... although in this case, they seem to have different hit rates so it doesn't matter..
