The epicness of this game is going to come out June 12th! Can't wait to see the conclusion of this series.

I wonder if Hideo Kojima plans on making another Metal Gear game? Unlikely, but there's a chance.

So basically I tried downloading and patching both the FF2US Impossible hack and the FF2US Solo Cecil hack, but both patches always results in a messed up game. I'm using LunarIPS to patch the roms, and I'm 99.99% sure that I'm using a clean rom (The 0.01% is due to the fact that it's not working >_>). I've tried numerous times to patch the rom but every attempt resulted in failure.

Rom: Final Fantasy II (U) (V1.0) [!].smc
Emulator: Snes9x 1.51
Patch:  FF2us Impossible V3.0b.ips & FF2usHT Solo Cecil Edition v1.2b.ips
Patcher: LunarIPS

And yes, I patched each hack with a separate, clean rom. I've had troubles patching other hacks as well (Some Lufia II hacks from GameFAQs).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Please, and thank you.

It's a nice step up from your old computer. And like many other's have said, just be sure to upgrade to at least 2GB of ram.

I personally prefer Intel more so than AMD, but that's just my preference.

I'm pretty surprised that your system can handle Vista without much problems. That should mean my system should be able to do fine too, =D.
