SPC - Hard Core / Re: Someone finally did it (nsf and spc's on iphone)
« on: August 15, 2011, 07:44:09 PM »
Thats all fine and dandy but I am not paying $1.99.  The author needs to do a free basic player and a fully featured app for $0.99.  I will keep converting to mp3.  :)

Thanks for the compliments.  :)  I've got another album I'm finishing up, should be a good one.  The title is: "Hey You, Outta My Way!".

P.S. I'm not having much luck with the SPC imports.

I've released an "album" of sorts containing some video game music arrangements/remixes I've done over the last 8 years or so.  I've got a second album coming hopefully by the end of August.

Hello all, I'm getting married today at 5pm and will be leaving tomorrow morning for the honeymoon until the 4th of July.  So if you don't see me you know why.   :omghax:

I'm not taking my iPod or laptops so no internet communications unless I find the time to use the significant other's iPhone.  Have a good week everybody!

P.S. My site is now dead.

Game Modification Station / Re: FF6 ROM - headered or not?
« on: June 17, 2011, 03:19:25 PM »
It's quite easy to just add 512 bytes to the beginning of your ROM, apply a patch that requires a header, and then remove those bytes.

^ This.

Hex Workshop does this easily.  Edit --> Insert --> 200bytes (Hex) + Fill with the following byte 0

I literally do this a lot.

Game 4 was the best NBA game I've ever seen.  All those threes were just spectacular.

That was ridiculous that Boston won the way they did at 4-0 in game 7.  Congrats to them indeed.  Now if only my Stars can get relevant again.  :)

I was wondering why no one mentioned my Mavs winning it all!

I've been waiting for over 25yrs for them to win it.  Went to my first game in 1985.   :childish:

LeBrick can go F himself too.  What a whining baby he is.

Submissions / Two FF1 (NES) patches
« on: June 15, 2011, 03:44:45 PM »
I've forgotten about these the past few years, but better late then never.

Patch 1: Menu Window enhancement
-This makes the dialogue window quicker during opening and closing while also removing the annoying sound.

Patch 2: EasyType + V2.0
-This makes the game easier and adds a few shortcuts, arrows as well as spells and new equipment.

Screens of the EasyType + patch:

Game Modification Station / Area map transition in FF1
« on: June 15, 2011, 01:35:09 AM »
I've been looking for the code that points to the speed and sound of the transition when you enter/exit a map.  I've already located the dialogue box code but this is proving more difficult.

Anyone got any info?

Gaming Discussion / Re: The best and most accurate EMUs?
« on: June 14, 2011, 11:45:03 PM »
Ah, so there's really nothing beyond what I already have then.  Thought maybe there was something I didn't know since I don't really follow emulation much anymore.

Nintendulator is the best cycle-accurate NES emulator around, but the best performance NES emu that is also accurate is Nestopia. As for SNES, bsnes is the most accurate, hands down, and it's not even close.

I've already been hugely impressed by BSNES.

I've been using Nestopia lately and it seems to get the job done nicely, I'll try Nintendulator as well.

What about the other consoles?

Gaming Discussion / The best and most accurate EMUs?
« on: June 14, 2011, 09:53:27 PM »
I'm looking for the best most accurate NES/Famicom emulator that reproduces the most accurate (sound mostly).

*edit*
Make that the most accurate emulators period for all console systems (besides BSNES)?

Thoughts?
