Current differences left - I picked the Ravens, Leno picked the Bears

Some notes:
Early games (both of them) - Snoozefests. Jets @ Bills was boring in that the Bills are like the teams of old. Bucs @ Saints wasn't as good as it should have been (as a divisional game).
I have nothing positive to say about the Pats game. It does remind me of that SB if you were wondering.
Ravens @ Steelers game so far is interesting.

Falcons - Team #1 of 2 for "Suck For Luck" playing.

Buccaneers @ Saints (division)

Saints - Despite the bye for the Bucs after a trip to London, the Saints are coming off a bad loss to the Rams... of all teams.

Jets @ Bills (division)

Bills - I don't exactly like this pick, but the Jets are awful after a bye for some reason.

Seahawks @ Cowboys

Cowboys - There is something really wrong if you can't beat the Seahawks.

Browns @ Texans

Texans - Unappealing matchup.

49'ers @ Redskins

49ers - There is only on caveat on the timing of the game....

Bengals @ Titans

Bengals - I am weary of this pick, given the matchup.

Broncos @ Raiders (division)

Raiders - I'm not sure which is the bigger disaster... Tebow, or Palmer.

Giants @ Patriots

Pats - I'm just hoping for the bounce back game....

Rams @ Cardinals

Cards - Teams of suck, battling it out.

Packers @ Chargers

Packers - Chargers seem to find a way to lose.

Ravens @ Steelers (division)

Ravens - I know it is easier to favor the home team in a divisional game.... but it is still difficult to analyze.

Bears @ Eagles (Monday)

Eagles - The question is which defense is better... I like the "suddenly better" Eagles d at this point in time...

Cruz was rattled for sure, especially having one hell of an ALCS.  Oh well, at least we made it there.  We'll get there again eventually, I hope...

You have a shot, given the pitching. The problem is that you don't have an ace... you lost Lee last offseason. CJ Wilson is the next free agent, and he's not a true ace even if you re-sign him. Still.. you can't have an outfielder that has no balls to go catch the ball near/at the wall to the best to his ability.

Texans - Sometimes one wonders about the Jags...

Giants - One would swear that the fish are tanking.

Saints - If this game is anything like last week's SNF, please skip to the score on the highlights please.

Titans - Here's team #2 for "SUCK FOR LUCK"... the Colts.

Lions - This is a big test for the Lions to grow as a team... I'm just not a big fan of the Tebow experience.

Bills - It might be interesting, but it's more like meh. Redskins are still strangely bad.

Bengals - I get the feeling the Bungles will screw this pick up... but the Seahawks have really sucked.

Eagles - I simply like the Eagles record after a bye week. Although, I could also see the Cowboys destroying Vick.

Chargers - Despite the failure to run the 2 minute drill, the Chargers are still a better team than the Chiefs. Seriously though, how does one fuck that up after the bye?

I thought the Packers @ Vikings game was interesting, at times. Ponder was at least competitive.
I saw the Falcons @ Lions game... it was very interesting. This Lions slide starts on the defense... primarily on its run d.
The Chargers @ Jets game didn't disappoint other than the outcome. Clearly, the Chargers know nothing about "a sense of urgency".

Also, lol @ that Tebow time... the fish certainly helped out on the suckage.

Lions - I believe the Lions will bounce back from the incredible game.. that I didn't get to finish seeing.

I'm not sure exactly how these matchups are dealt at the beginning of the season. I believe NBC gets the best deal out of it in some sense, since MNF (and TNF) is set in stone and is unchangeable. Also, NBC has to fight against FOX or CBS for key matchups during the flex scheduling, that starts after Thanksgiving or so (Week 10 and later). FOX and CBS get to block a number of games from NBC (although that number averages to 1 game per week during flex scheduling)...

This game was probably selected because it is a division game, but given that the Vikings weren't going to be good (w/o much guessing) that was a mistake.

Remember this rule: All teams are subjected to at most 6 prime time games on SNF+MNF. This does affect scheduling and flexing.

Also, Week 17 is automatically rigged by the NFL schedule-wise due to relevance and playoff implications. SNF needs to determine a playoff winner or seeding.

After watching the SNF game, you can tell that a team has no respect for your QB when 8 or more people are in the box. I could have sworn that all 11 players were in the box at one time (although, I think it was 8 or 9 of them consistently).

Although Ponder did nothing, it was a lot more refreshing to see something better than McNabb. Hell, it would've been nice to see more Joe Webb, but it seems like he's the designated Wildcat QB.

I was very amused by the games today... Bills @ Giants was fun... certainly I could say lots about Cowboys @ Pats game... but meh. I wish I could've seen more of the 49ers @ Lions game, but I was forwarded to the Pats game. I may say a little more later.

Everyone has picked DA BEARS and I am the only crazy that thinks the fish will squish the Jets.

Lions - This is a game that most of us can't watch but was an unlikely interest matchup in the first place.

Rams @ Packers

Packers - Not even the bye week will solve the woes of the Rams.

Panthers @ Falcons (division)

Falcons - This game will be closer than it should be... given the state of both teams.

Colts @ Bengals

Bengals - Is it simply just possible that the Colts tank this season?

Bills @ Giants

Bills - It's hard to figure out Eli sometimes... not that it every INT is his fault, but how does one lose to the Seahawks at home last week?

Jaguars @ Steelers

Steelers - There's a good chance that Del Rio will get fired at the end of the season.

Bears - I know the Bears have problems, but the Vikings have a lot more. Someone is going to be royally embarrassed on SNF, and it may just be McNabb.

Dolphins @ Jets (division, Monday)

Dolphins - I think this Jets slide will last a little longer. Fish are desperate and coming off a bye. However, Henne is on IR. The fish has always been known to give the Jets a tougher game than usual.

I honestly don't know what's wrong with the Bears defense. However, the same obvious issue plagues the offense of the Bears. Cutler may or may not suck, but that o-line is probably one of the worst in the league (false starts being a key indicator) in addition to possibly reckless playcalling (gotta add extra protection to the QB via extra blocking or chipping by the other players).

Lions are much better defensively... and finally Stafford is healthy. At the very least, they have a shot at the Wild Card, if not the division... Lions-Packers games are certainly worth watching now.
