Nevermind, you're using Curvy Caramel, and I tried to change my avatar to one of the portraits and they were there. :hmm: Can you show a screenshot of the avatar gallery for me?

nevermind.  it's an IE6 issue; works fine on another machine's browser.  the fact that entering the .PNG URL directly gave me a broken image rather than a 404 error should have clued me in.  IE6 apparently can't handle PNGs of certain types.  before bothering you next time, i'll test on software made within the past decade.  :isuck:
