Arg... I can't say much about the Pats loss other than they sucked. Bills deserved to win it.

I'm also surprised the Jets loss @ Oakland...

How does McNabb squander a 20 pt lead.. at home even? I know it's not the same as the 21 pt lead with the Pats @ Bills game, but the Bills cut at it and had plenty of time and the Pats were on the road.

Steelers @ Colts game is interesting... so far.

With that said... records going into SNF:
Mate: DNP (did not pick/play)
Leno: 9-5
Gil: 11-3
Me: 11-3

Everyone picked the Steelers and Gil picked the Redskins...

Week 2 final scores:
Leno: 12-4
Mate: 11-5
Gil: 9-7
Me: 12-4

Combined scores up to Week 2:
Mate: 19-13
Leno: 19-13
Gil: 14-18
Me: 20-12

I did not expect the Steelers/Colts game to play out like it did, and I'm glad. I figured it would've been mostly one-sided.

Week 4 schedule:

W00t?

Quote
Lions @ Cowboys

Lions - Although the Cowboys are at home, losing a day to MNF and Romo will hurt a bit for them.

Quote
Panthers @ Bears

Bears - Go figure... unless Cutler manages to screw this up (or the Mike Martz, by extension).

Quote
Bills @ Bengals

Bills - Personally, I think the Bills might think too highly of themselves... but then again they face the Bungles.

Quote
Titans @ Browns

Browns - Other than Chris Johnson... there is virtually nothing special about the Titans.

Quote
Vikings @ Chiefs

Chiefs - A battle of two 0-3 teams. Go figure. It's tough to pick between these two teams...

Quote
Redskins @ Rams

Redskins - I'm not sure if the Rams are going to get better. I don't think the Redskins are that good, but you would think they are better somehow.

Quote
Saints @ Jaguars

Saints - Feels like the Titans with MJD, but in reverse (home-away teams)

Quote
Steelers @ Texans

Texans - After watching SNF, there's something wrong with the SB losers of yesteryear.

Quote
49'ers @ Eagles

Eagles - I don't think the 49ers will accomplish many back-to-back road wins... but a crippled Vick is still probably better than the 49ers... I guess.

Quote
Giants @ Cardinals

Giants - Meh to the Cards and Giants.

Quote
Falcons @ Seahawks

Falcons - A slightly weaker Falcons team is sadly still better than the Seahawks team.

Quote
Dolphins @ Chargers

Chargers - It's almost a sure bet the fish will be one of the 0-4 teams.

Quote
Patriots @ Raiders

Raiders - I'm just hoping for the reverse lock... arg. Raiders do run the ball a lot...

Quote
Broncos @ Packers

Packers - I have a really hard time imagining the Broncos winning this...

Quote
Jets @ Ravens

Ravens - This is the 2nd game of a 3-game road trip for the Jets. Jets d isn't as good as it seems, plus the Ravens can eat the Sanchise up.

Quote
Colts @ Buccaneers

Bucs - I think that's the best we've seen of the Colts on SNF... with that said... this will suck for them.

I enjoyed some very amusing games...

CBS early: Steelers @ Texans - The game was interesting... watching the Steelers d is kinda painful and the Texans really did some silly+goofy stuff.
CBS early bonus: Bills @ Bengals - I was very amused at the outcome... although I saw the two minute drive at the end... heh
FOX early: Lions @ Cowboys - I do not know how a team like the Cowboys should lose like that... but you have 3 INTs, 2 INTs were pick-sixes, it was totally Romo's fault for really really bad decisions.

Week 4 Stats Going Into SNF:
Gil: 9-5
Leno: 9-5
Me: 10-4

Gil believes in the Jets and everyone says ARRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH

This has been an odd week. Hank Williams Jr decided to spew some insanity, and now he has severed ties with MNF. Nobody will be ready for football ever again. And then today, Al Davis, owner and well-known crazy man, but one of the game's best innovators, of the Raiders died at age 82.

Raiders @ Texans

Chargers @ Broncos (division)
Packers @ Falcons

Week 5 schedule:

Week 4 Final Stats
Gil: 10-6
Leno: 11-5
Me: 12-4

I'll have updated total stats later.

Quote
Titans @ Steelers

Steelers - I think the Steelers will rebound, but it will be a tough matchup against this team...

Quote
Seahawks @ Giants

Giants - Seahawks just suck.

Quote
Bengals @ Jaguars

Jags - The Bungles win helps the Jags... I guess.

Quote
Saints @ Panthers (division)

Saints - This might be more difficult than it looks...

Quote
Raiders @ Texans

Texans - Al Davis's passing will not go unnoticed...

Quote
Eagles @ Bills

Bills - Go figure on the "Dream Team".

Quote
Chiefs @ Colts

Colts - This is one of the few shots for a win for the Colts...

Quote
Cardinals @ Vikings

Cards - Depressing game, yes?

Quote
Buccaneers @ 49'ers

49ers - Bucs are coming off MNF plus they seem to have regressed a little.

Quote
Jets @ Patriots (division)

Jets - I'm doing the reverse lock again... deal with it.

Quote
Chargers @ Broncos (division)

Chargers - Tebow is in high demand, but is he any good?

Quote
Packers @ Falcons

Packers - What the hell has happened to the Falcons?

Quote
Bears @ Lions (division, Monday)

Lions - The question you have to ask is if the Lions can handle success...

NFC North teams getting some love this week for the last two games (then again, Leno picked them all :P )

Notes about the games:
Titans @ Steelers (CBS Early) - snoozefest, although I thought it would be closer
Eagles @ Bills (FOX Early) - was not so interesting early, but made it up late... lol @ Eagles
Chargers @ Broncos (bonus late CBS) - was interesting..
Raiders @ Texans (bonus early CBS) - lol @ Texans, particularly Schaub
Seahawks @ Giants (bonus early FOX) - that was terrible, and yet hilarious at the same time

wow, the Bears/Lions game was horrible to watch.  not just the end result, but the entire process and pace of it.  26 penalties overall, with 14 by the Bears, and NINE of those being false starts.  watching some of their drives was like pulling teeth.  then again, the abundance of Lions' penalties worked in our favor, albeit making for dull football.  i remember one drive in the first half where we had like 8 yards rushing and 5 yards passing, yet somehow had advanced 50 yards down the field. :P

Jay Cutler rarely had time to plant his feet and scan for open receivers.  yet he did rather well given the circumstances.  Matthew Stafford did even better.

it's weird..  the Lions' offense was generally on the sideline and lackluster on most of its plays, yet was devastatingly efficient.  their time of possession was just over 20 minutes.  they ran 71% the number of plays as the Bears' offense.  these are generally hallmarks of a losing team.  however, 3 of Detroit's 47 plays accounted for 204 yards, over half of its 395 total yards.  freaky.  the Bears' defense got torched on these plays, with two resulting in touchdowns, and didn't even touch Jahvid Best on his 88-yard run.

the Bears were leading at the half, and only down 8 points with 4 minutes to go in the game, yet this contest felt futile through-and-through.

It's a game I wish I could've seen. I haven't had a chance to watch the Lions at all this year (except for their win against the Vikes) and I wanted to see if they were for real. Like the Bills, they appear to be in for the long haul this year, and I am glad to see them finally see success.

I honestly don't know what's wrong with the Bears defense. However, the same obvious issue plagues the offense of the Bears. Cutler may or may not suck, but that o-line is probably one of the worst in the league (false starts being a key indicator) in addition to possibly reckless playcalling (gotta add extra protection to the QB via extra blocking or chipping by the other players).

Lions are much better defensively... and finally Stafford is healthy. At the very least, they have a shot at the Wild Card, if not the division... Lions-Packers games are certainly worth watching now.

Scores Ending Week 5:
Mate: DNP
Gil: DNP
Leno: 9-4
Me: 7-6

Combined Scores Ending Week 5:
Mate: 19-13 (DNP weeks 3-5)
Gil: 36-28 (DNP week 5)
Leno: 50-27
Me: 52-25

 :edit:
FYI, I am somewhat struggling to pick the winner of the SNF game... and even when I do pick it, it may just be an ugly unwatchable game.

Uggh I hate missing a week but it was unavoidable as my DSL modem went down and I had to order a replacement that took about a week to arrive. Now I'm back.

Ain't getting a zero score this week. Damn DSL router/modem going down.

Quote
49ers Vs. Lions

Lions - This could be a tough game for the Lions. Some apparently think this is where they are going to lose this time. Since the Lions are underdogs, I'm going for them. The 49ers only have one loss so far, the Lions are still undefeated.

Quote
Rams Vs. Packers

Packers - I don't think the Rams will be able to defeat the Packers who are still hot from their Super Bowl win. The Rams have not won a game so far this year.

Quote
Panthers Vs. Falcons

Falcons - Hard to pick for me since I am not familiar with all the players on either team. But I have seen both of them play and I think the Falcons have a slightly better team than the Panthers.

Quote
Colts Vs. Bengals

Bengals - The Colts haven't won a single game so far.

Quote
Bills Vs. Giants

Bills - Not sure who is going to win since I haven't seen either team play yet. I will go for the Bills with a 4-1 record so far.

Quote
Jaguars Vs. Steelers

Steelers - I haven't seen the Jaguars play yet but I think they will lose with the 1-4 record they have so far.

Quote
Eagles Vs. Redskins

Redskins - Redskins have the better record so far. I just don't think the Eagles will win yet.

Quote
Texans Vs. Ravens

Ravens - I have no clue who is going to win this game. So, I'll pick the Ravens.

Quote
Browns Vs. Raiders

Browns - Not really sure who is going to win this game either.

Quote
Cowboys Vs. Patriots

Patriots - Patriots have the better record at 4-1 and I think the Cowboys don't have a good enough team to win this one.

Quote
Saints Vs. Buccaneers

Saints - This could be a tough game but I am going for the team with the better record so far.

Quote
Vikings Vs. Bears

Bears - I think the Bears are going to win this game after losing last week vs. the Lions.

Quote
Dolphins Vs. Jets

Jets - I believe the Fish are not going to win this game.

Week 6 schedule:

Almost time for the Pats bye week. I hope my mind doesn't go on the bye as well.

Quote
49'ers @ Lions

Lions - This is a game that most of us can't watch but was an unlikely interest matchup in the first place.

Quote
Rams @ Packers

Packers - Not even the bye week will solve the woes of the Rams.

Quote
Panthers @ Falcons (division)

Falcons - This game will be closer than it should be... given the state of both teams.

Quote
Colts @ Bengals

Bengals - Is it simply just possible that the Colts tank this season?

Quote
Bills @ Giants

Bills - It's hard to figure out Eli sometimes... not that it every INT is his fault, but how does one lose to the Seahawks at home last week?

Quote
Jaguars @ Steelers

Steelers - There's a good chance that Del Rio will get fired at the end of the season.

Quote
Eagles @ Redskins (division)

Redskins - I'm not sure of the Redskins, but the Eagles have been playing like pure crap.

Quote
Texans @ Ravens

Ravens - Who are the Texans trying to kid?

Quote
Browns @ Raiders

Browns - I get the strange feeling of an upset... due to last week.

Quote
Cowboys @ Patriots

Cowboys - Reverse lock intentional.

Quote
Saints @ Buccaneers (division)

Bucs - The Saints defense isn't that good... plus this is a division game @ Bucs, so it's a tough call.

Quote
Vikings @ Bears (division)

Bears - I know the Bears have problems, but the Vikings have a lot more. Someone is going to be royally embarrassed on SNF, and it may just be McNabb.

Quote
Dolphins @ Jets (division, Monday)

Dolphins - I think this Jets slide will last a little longer. Fish are desperate and coming off a bye. However, Henne is on IR. The fish has always been known to give the Jets a tougher game than usual.
