I'll say it now, and Deathlike will agree even though it's more in a ragehate, but the Vikings are screwed...unless they play the Packers.

The difference is, the Packers are playing significantly better than you last saw them. I'm still not comfortable with sackmaster Rodgers, but that defense has changed dramatically over the time.

Only Favre is primarily the Vikings problem... only a collapse against the Giants would the Vikings be really screwed. The Giants as of late have sucked and have been owned by the Vikings, so it behooves the Vikings to actually TRY TO WIN. That might sound like a foreign concept.

If the Eagles win, it's no #2 seed for you... (it might require another Vikings loss, but it's possible that conference records will kill ya)

It looks like the lack of TO effect, but it's too early to be sure. There's a strong feeling that Romo may perform a run on a fake FG in one of these games... to decide a game again.

Let's put it this way, whoever wins that game will win home field advantage for the next game... which is against each other... again! There isn't much seed movement given that game determines division winner... Packers and Cards don't really shake anything up AFAIK.

There's no movement to be had in the NFC for the most part (other than the Vikings losing their #2 seed or maybe gaining the #1 seed).

yeah, how many times have the Cowboys been on NBC this year anyway?

It seems like NBC and FOX both have some sort of man-crush for the NFC east. Cowboys/Redskins is hardly a "sexy matchup" for a flex game. I probably would've put Ravens/Steelers, Jets/Colts, or Broncos/Eagles ahead of this game.

Hindsight being 20/20, the Jets @ Colts game would not have been appealing. Colts track record to tank this part of the season (for health obviously) is part of the problem.

I would've put Ravens @ Steelers at the top of the list, if not to close out that rematch on NBC (they started there game on NBC, might as well)... and the Broncos @ Eagles was more interesting than I thought.

I've seen the Cowboys "enough". It's their 3rd time on NBC (which is a lot of primetime SNF games relatively speaking).

Note: The max number of primetime game that a team can have is 6. I believe these are classified as TNF, SNF, and MNF games for the most part.

Anyways, the actual difference is that the Bears defense is not the same as it once were. Sure you can attribute that to losing your star MLB, but that doesn't explain away the disaster known as Jay Cutler. This and 2 1st round + 1 3rd round draft pick for the guy was a total mistake.

I'm not saying Kyle Orton is the solution, but he wouldn't make the same kind of mistakes this guy is making.

Falcons - What are the Bills playing for? Pride? I'm not sure what there is to show.

Chiefs @ Bengals

Bengals - The Bengals will look better, given their opponent, but does that make them a quality team?

Raiders @ Browns

Raiders - This is a tossup... Brady Quinn is out to boot, so go figure.

Seahawks @ Packers

Packers - The Seahawks will have every reason to give up.

Ravens @ Steelers (division)

Steelers - Ravens won in an OT win to a backup QB @ home... and the Steelers need to stick around to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Texans @ Dolphins

Dolphins - I'm not entirely confident of this pick like the Raiders pick, but Dolphins are better than the Texans IMO... even if the Texans have more offensive talent.

Jaguars @ Patriots

Pats - Pats need this win to secure the division... and this game should be very close give the playoff implications for both teams.

Buccaneers @ Saints (division)

Saints - Seriously, these are the Bucs...

Panthers @ Giants

Giants - Even if the Giants win, they are in the backseat looking up at their competition.

Broncos @ Eagles

Eagles - This match could be close, but I don't believe the Broncos have enough offense to compete...

Rams @ Cardinals (division)

Cards - Rams have ownership issues... let alone coaching+team issues.

Lions @ 49'ers

49ers - Lions outside of a dome on a west coast trip....

Jets @ Colts

Colts - Jets have one of the better defenses despite their poor QB play... if the Colts really play, it's going to be very interesting for 15-0...

Cowboys @ Redskins (division)

Cowboys - I have no idea why NBC has flexed this game, given that the Steelers-Ravens game has significantly more implications. Redskins are more than willing to give up at this time of the year.

Vikings @ Bears (division)

Vikings - Unless the Bears defense pull a miracle, only the Vikings can screw this up.

While the Cowboys made a rare December win.. it's shocking the Saints thought Ware wasn't going to play.

The Steelers and Packers made a very interesting shootout... swiss cheese defense.

However, Team Favre disappointed me lots... but despite that, I'm actually happy that Favre actually did suck.

7-8 record for the week, going into MNF... but whatever I guess.

 

This and the fish, Jets, and Broncos lose (despite my picks for them) were just sweet. Also, screw Mangina.

Pats - It's a must win game for the Pats, but the Bills are a different team from the last time they played. Should be close...

Cardinals @ Lions

Cards - The miracle cure for a loss? Play the Lions!

Dolphins @ Titans

Dolphins - I don't like this pick on any level. It should be interesting to find out who starts for the Titans since that is critical

Browns @ Chiefs

Chiefs - If noone knew this game occurred, did it even play?

Texans @ Rams

Texans - Rams are preparing for the 1st round pick of the NFL Draft...

Falcons @ Jets

Jets - It's unknown whether the Matt Ryan will play for the Falcons, but go figure. It probably doesn't matter at this point.

49'ers @ Eagles

Eagles - Trips from the west coast to the east coast are a great excuse to give up for teams that aren't competing for a playoff spot.

Packers @ Steelers

Packers - The Packers need this game more than the Steelers... I'm not entirely sure what the Steelers are playing for now....

Bears @ Ravens

Ravens - The Bears aren't who anyone they thought they were, and no team has let Cutler off the hook really.

Bengals @ Chargers

Chargers - Despite the loss of Chris Henry, the Chargers are a better team overall than the Bengals.

Raiders @ Broncos (division)

Broncos - So... these are the same Raiders that picked up JP Losman...

Buccaneers @ Seahawks

Seahawks - Go figure.

Vikings @ Panthers

Vikings - If Favre sucks in this game, it's the beginning of the end. The Panthers are way too hurt to even deserve an SNF billing.

Giants @ Redskins (division)

Giants - There's a potential for an upset, but Redskins are simply not good offensively.. despite the Giants defensive woes.
