SNES and NES music plugin for ipods?

So now that I've gotten a touch,I've come to realize all the cool small file size snes and nes music I have is kinda useless cause I can't move it over. Anyone know if there's a program already to play them or how difficult making one would be?

picked up an iphone 4 recently and I'm back on this again. Only now I have the ability to make an app. Does anyone know where I can find some source or info on nsfe's and spc's so I can see about writing an app that would play them on the iphone/touch?

To play NSF/E, you basically need to emulate the NES, and for SPC, you need to emulate the SPC700. There's no way around that, because NSF and SPC just contain sequence data (or at least I think so). You're almost better off converting them to MP3s...

Also seeing as there are already nes and snes emus on the iphone, it can be done. I was reading some other forums and one guy was saying it's fairly easy. just porting existing players to work on the iphone. It's possible this is all incorect info, but there is a c64 player already. Sid Player. plays back c64 chiptunes from an online archive.

If that's the case, you should look into what was done to get the programs working on the phones. As long as the processor is strong enough, you should be able to get them playing just fine.

and the MP3s of the NES/SNES music would be 10 MB each tops?  more realistically, 5 MB or less, right?  at the latter figure, you can have 100 songs and still take up just 1/2 a gig.

not enough space if I also have it full of apps, videos, and regular music too. I'm at capacity for the most part already.

Is Blargg a good library? Was planning on using it in the app.
