Quite simply, this is something that Square has been sort of inconsistent with, though for the most part Holy has been a white spell. Should tradition be restored, and this moved to the white list, or should it remain with its evil brethren? You, the public, shall decide! :childish:

yea white magic all the way, it always kinda irked me that a holy (pearl) elemental attack was considered black magic

Black. I don't consider "black magic' in FFVI to mean the same as in other games.

White=Healing
Black=Attack
Grey=Status

I'm with Mikey on this.

The spell consistency in this specific game is correct, despite the "traditional" Square categorization. It is my suggestion that if you set it to White Magic, make sure to change the spell casting effect.

echoing Mikey and Deathlike2.  it should stay in the Black list as long as it's Attack magic.  the spell's element doesn't change its purpose: doing damage.

That was the censoring at work. Since it was "White" in FF4, that's probably why it didn't become that again here. A spell named "White" in a black magic list would not have made any sense at all.

Depends on if there's a "white magic only" type or not. If it's one of those "everyone can have every spell" I'd say black just to categorize them with the other offensive spells.
