Hmm. Perhaps a spell that is only triggered when playing in the WoR? I imagine you'd have to hack in a check to see if you're in the WoB or the WoR.

Probably too hard to do...

I'm not sure how much more overpowered you can make the Lucky Knight... seriously.

I don't understand...the Lucky Knife is overpowered?   :wtf:

Before your change, there were better options available (see Rune Blade).

After your change, it's my primary weapon of choice and it's probably very overpowered for the WoB...

 :edit:

Bah to Imageshack.. I was trying to upload an image of a bug... the little girl in Edgar's room seems to address "Krysta" instead of "Torri" in the dialog (this is the search for Terra event in the WOB).

That's not really a bug, just poorly thought out dialogue.

Oh well. I'll try to upload the images when I get the chance anyways..

There's missing dialog with Rachel's Dad in the mini-scene...

Its hit% should dictate that it isn't as effective as a convential weapon.  I mainly designed it for the magic user--I'd be curious to see/hear specifically how its overpowered.

Well, it wasn't quite thought out. Right now I'm using it for pretty much every active fighter (with the Lucky Ring).

I don't use the magic user for this purpose behind of the following..

1) Still learning magic - time is mostly spent doing this.

2) Evasion is valued more since defense is not catching up. The Defense Knife is more valuable for this purpose. Fighting suffers, but when you have 2 or 3 fighters, it a real non-issue for another support-fighter-mage.

 :edit:

The attack power boost probably does help it a bit.. but I'm primarily put off with the nonexistant evade/magic evade bonus. If I can get the power from at least 2 fighters, I'm not willing to leave the magic user as vulnerable for that reason alone...

Think about it like this.. until you assemble a multi-mage group (a group of at least 2 mages in the party), I don't quite have a use for it.

Is Krysta telapathic? I think not:

Whoops!

British spelling...

Hax!

Mwahaha!

It's strange to me that Regen seems to double for Imp targets... hmmm

 :edit:

Testing shows that this is not a bug.. seems to be normal behavior (tested with FF6).

Apparently the algo FAQ didn't cover this.  :wtf: :omg:

1. That British spelling was intentional.
2. How the hell did Guy get magic and learn a magic spell?

I know it's not a bug.. I just liked taking that screenshot.

2. How the hell did Guy get magic and learn a magic spell?

Same method you learn spells for Krysta and Torri.
I used the Reflect Ring to learn the spell.
The difference is the Magic command only appears at only one point in time.. the Tower of Fanatics.

Note that I mentioned it to you on the old board (well, when you hosted one)

 :edit:

Here's the Regen-Imp property...

I gave the monster Regen status (I did it with magic):

Now it's doubled:

Here's the FF3USHT Gigas:

Here is the Imp version...

Actually, I don't know. I always found that amusing behavior.

Technically I suppose it is, but I also don't think it would be worth fixing since it would require preventing non-magic users from equipping the ring or removing its ability to teach Wall.

I agree there. However, how does Umaro avoid this? I suspect it's hardcoded somewhere...

:edit:

I posted some Regen pics... unless this isn't new news.. no comments?

We were just discussing that:

Code: [Select]
[02:05] <Lenophis> imp doubles regen?
[02:05] <Lenophis> am I interpretting that correctly?
[02:05] <Dragonsbrethren> Yes.
[02:05] <Lenophis> I never knew about that
[02:06] <Lenophis> is that intentional?
[02:06] <Dragonsbrethren> Probably intentional, don't Regen and Seizure operate the same way?
[02:06] <Lenophis> they use the same formulas
[02:07] <Imzogelmo> weird, I have never heard of that
[02:07] <Dragonsbrethren> Yeah, so imps are probably supposed to take extra damage from seizure.
[02:07] <Lenophis> wow
[02:07] <Imzogelmo> ouch
[02:07] <Dragonsbrethren> And as a result also recover extra from regen.
[02:07] <Imzogelmo> as if being a short green dude wasn't punishment enough

:edit:

Yay lazy copy and paste posts:

Code: [Select]
[02:12] <Dragonsbrethren> http://slickproductions.org/forum/index.php?topic=703.msg6378#msg6378 <--Umaro is hardcoded, right?
[02:12] <Dragonsbrethren> To not learn magic, if you haven't been following the discussion.
[02:12] <Lenophis> it should be anybody > Gogo can't learn magic
[02:13] <Imzogelmo> >=
[02:13] <Lenophis> yeah
[02:13] <Lenophis> Umaro is after Gogo
[02:13] <Dragonsbrethren> That is a very angry looking greater than or equal to sign...
