Just had a quick question

Is there any reason why your patches are incompatible with the Titlescreen mod that converts FF3 to the Proper FF6 title?
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/600/

I cannot get your compilation to run in conjunction with this patch

Also what ROM should I be patching? I have 1.0 headered and Unheadered.

Currently recommending your patch

It seems to be the best one out there and you are pretty on top of keepin it up to date

Well done! Doing great work on my favorite game of all time

I just wish I could get the mega fix WITH the translation patch from this release

But the translation added in this patch is SO incompatible with everything

Shame I remember it being one of the best (i think its a combo of GBA and Lina Darkstar translations)

How is the compatibility of this mega patch holding up so far?

Solid vanilla playthrough from start to finish?

Also what script translation is this patch leaning on?

Ok guys

I feel like interest keeps hitting in waves but FF fever is happening again

and once again people are looking at FF6 and saying.... what the deal! I want to try it. Whats the best way to experience it!

We STILL dont have a go-to flagship Vanilla release in the community. Just a huge wave of various patches and several Mega Patch projects with some serious compatibility issues and missing features

What is our best current vanilla mega patch? I actually wouldnt mind a mechanically improved Vanilla to shore up some of the originals shortcomings without drastically changing the base game

Thats what this project originally set out to do. Where are we at in 2016?

Probably the highest quality sprite and animation work Ive seen for our favorite characters

Is anyone crazy enough to build a game from scratch with this stuff?   LOL I sure hope so!

Would love to see more movement in this space but it seems that the Steam modding community has stalled

Not sure if there will be a significant fan made "perfect FF6"

Its almost seeming like SE is gonna remake it (based on some rumors floating) in the near future though.

Which patch combination are you using

Even with the fan edited one I posted its clear that this project is still far from completely bug free unfortunately

Really appreciate the time and work you put into this.

Unfortunatly I have to ask what the status of this project is.?
Also were would I get the current version? So far I've found 1.07.

Really would love to see this opera.

I have a version that was edited by another user but I dont know if its any more stable that 1.07

I can post in anyways if you guys would like

WOW

You have been active brother

Could we really be close to a near perfect rendition of FF6? Where are you at with a completely Playable mega patch edition?

Interest comes in Cycles and I still get lots of people looking for the definitive FF6

I still feel like Dark Mage was the closest with the FF6 improvement project and that amazing translation patch that broke the game with bugfixes :/

How far along is this rendition?

Oh agreed

But at least with a PC version the ceiling of mod potential should be higher right?

I mean look at the SNES scene. You guys have done some amazing things within those ROM limits but they limits will always be there

Im not really sure how mod friendly the steam version is but it does seem like there is a larger more robust playground available.

Just looking at the potential

People are working on stuff like that right now actually

As you would expect the quality is all over the place

Im grateful that the person working on the original sprites is planning on cleaning them up to fit better with the new backgrounds

This is my favorite mod so far. Im just in love with how good the original sprites look

No disrespect to the original concept art but those cartoony sprites just do not translate the tone of the world or the story.

Sooooo

Looks like a whole new breed of modding is building up around the steam version of FF6

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/ff-modding/discussions/10/

Seems particularly exciting and could provide new opportunities for even more freedom and variety (not to mention definitive) than ever before!

What do you guys think?
