So, we know it's bound to eventually happen with how well ff3 and 4 did on ds, but I felt like doing this anyway. If I get the job I'm currently applying for, it will give me plenty of time to actually DO it.
A little catching up on me before I go on. Went to school, got a degree in digital art and design. Focus is 3D. Ok, on to what I'm going to be doing.
For a little portfolio builder and for fun, I want to model a lot of area's from ff6 in 3D. I know, I know, 3d? blasphamy. I thought it would be a fun little side project to boost my modeling skills since there's a lot of diverse areas. What will these models be used for? Nothing really. Not at first anyway. If someone who would want to make an engine to run them were to happen along, I would not be apposed to letting said models be used for a FF6 update of sorts or even little movies. I'm not much of an animator myself, just a modeler/texture artist.
Could FF6 hard type 3d be upon us?
Anyway, I've got a job in Orlando I'm lining up to teach 3D at my old college. More of a lab instructor really, but the money is nice and the hours are 20-30 a week. And since it'll be a 3D class I'm instructing, modeling these things while I'm at work would not be far fetched at all. Things will be super slow at first. As such, I prolly shouldn't have mentioned it, but I wanted to rally up the troops and see what kind of support this would get while keeping under SE's radar.
yeah, post is all over the place, but that's my head lately anyway.
