The Rune Blade's magic wasn't changed to Fire2...

I don't know why the Regal Blade deserves a nerf...

I suspect the Avenger stuff is supposed to be themed intentionally that way, but I could be wrong.

Okay, I assigned them all using the existing magic-casting weapons as a template:

Most weapons only randomly cast their spells.
Rods randomly cast, can be used as an item, and break when used.
Both weapons with Vanish don't randomly cast, they have to be used as an item, only target the user, and break when used.

Only thing I'm not sure of are the Avengers, wasn't sure if they were supposed to randomly berserk the enemies or not.

Yes the Avengers were supposed to randomly cast Berserk, and be used as an item (and not break).

The sound core is probably still the issue... though the movie recording seems to be better if I start fresh (it's not perfect though probably).

That one seemed desync in/by the second battle, but still managed to play up to the start of the battle with Ruu, where it ended.

I'm trying to compile the list of spells learned by the non-spell casting members (it's not hard to do):
Exit (Warp) - only the magic users can use it...
Wall (Reflect) - though everyone can use it...
Imp - though, you get this late game...

It's interesting to note that all of the spells are pretty much built for the Tower of Fanatics...

Found the following while I was at it:
Gau seems to be able to use Learn Float (for whatever reason) instead of Gogo
Gog seems to not be able to use Learn Ice3 (even though the bulk of the Learn spells series includes Gogo and yet Gogo will never be able to benefit from "Learning")
Any reason why the Paladin's Ring can't be equipped on Locke (or Umaro for that matter)?
Any reason why the Elemental or Sniper Glove can't be equipped on Umaro?

i didn't get there yet in jce's hack(pretty close:) ), but it looks like that may have been on purpose.  they don't have to talk for that scene to work.
