It would be nice if there was someone to contact, much less a readme. That bothers me a lot more.

My review is starting to favor "Not Recommended" unless you want something barely/slightly different.

 :edit:

Weren't there a bunch of guys @ the FF3 SNES Gamefaqs board (and maybe the FF6A board) that were allowing other Gamefaqs users to test their special FF3 hack or something like that?

Ok, that's cool.. but..

That doesn't quite match up with the others...

Or this either...

That's nice.. but the extra space...

Hmmm... must be forgetting something...

Two Silk Robes...

The extra description doesn't quite cut it...

Two Cotton Robes...

Disappointment++

I guess it's a weak attempt to hide the fact the guy doesn't know how to remove the extra stuff...

More random name postage for whatever the reason:

Cut-off descriptions are bad...

Only normal description...

Botched script change...

Well, the Blood Spear definately needs to be weaker than it's Sword counterpart... IIRC, it's still gotten before it's Sword counterpart in the first place.

Plus, the stat tweaks should be more like -10 Str and Agility, +5 Vitality, Wisdom, Will. Hit rate should be set at 50 to 75% (it'll maximize late game due to levels) and will scale appropriately anyways.

Rare pincer formation that never made sense to me:

Someone really goofed in testing

This and a few other formations seem to not be forbidden anymore...

I love this quote:

Locke gets all defensive there in Pandora's Box, turns out he was indeed born on a farm, and is quite proud of that fact.

Two properties of the Dark Sigil won't be used... Drain and randomly casting Meteor...

I love this quote:

Bah!

"Within"

Script error? Beats me:

Do people double check starting equipment these days?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo....

I'm usually disappointed early game, since more often than not, the good stuff is done for late game.. usually via equipment and/or monsters. The equipment tends to be generic in the WOB in most FF3 hacks.

Well, they put some thought into the changes... but it almost looks like noone tested it.

For instance, the Dragonsoul Relic for Edgar has the Randomly Cast Wind Slash property.. however that's useless since the checks are weapon based.

It also has the Palidor spell, but that's not cast at all since it's not enabled...

The Thief's Spirit has the Steal bonus property, but you're enabling Capture so that's not beneficial at all (both commands are not considered the same in terms of the Steal algo).

Personally, I'd keep playing the hack until I get bored. I'm not yet bored, but considering that Leno's really really old FF3 hack made me stop because of HP growth (and I don't feel like grinding, though now I think I have a better way of working around that issue and I have to actually "try" playing it at some point..).. there are limits to my interest.

Bah.. the status bonuses on Espers are kept... which means those with Magic commands only benefit.

Go figure. Keeping opinions to a minimal on Gamefaqs is better than the ignorances spread there.

http://rapidshare.com/files/137452631/FF3Hack3.7z.html - Hopefully this timed event actually plays through...

The end result should be Celes is right near the door (but hasn't exited the place) with a little more than 2:00 minutes to go.

 :edit:

This time, I want a comment if the movie desyncs this time...

Rumors of Terra and Kefka being tied to the hip may be true...

Behold, Kefka, the Evil Moogle Emporer!

Shouldn't it be more like present tense, rather than past tense?

http://rapidshare.com/files/137437500/FF3Hack3.7z.html - Just because you can't use magic against him, doesn't mean he's actually a threat. It would've made sense if a nasty counter was used as compensation.. or more of a perma-Runic solution...

That explains only a portion of it.

Apparently both formations I've mentioned are one and the same, and are considered rare by my testing (and frankly are the least seen formations on this map). So, it's generated at the time of battle.. not fixed like most maps are...

 :edit:

Here's a savestate for reference:

http://rapidshare.com/files/137402569/FF3Hack3.7z.html

Both formations are possibilties for the next battle (reload and you'll most likely see a different battle), and there are a few others....

I remember why I hate this place.
