I'll give it to you because you lost miserably.

haha.  it looks like my pseudo-scientific way of picking winners this round could really blow up in my face.

good point on the running backs.  i was thinking during the game that they were both ex-Bears.  you're probably right about the o-line, but what about Forte running for big yards last year?  dumping Jones always irked me, because management wasn't judging him on his performance (which was quite solid), but determining that Benson "was their guy" based on observing limited carries, and moving Jones to make room for him.  now, it turns out they probably blew it by dumping Benson too, but that's more forgivable, imho, given he didn't do so well here.

I think the guy (Forte) was a better receiver out of the backfield as a good reliable checkdown option, moreso than a pure RB (opposite of an Adrian Peterson, that would be a way of looking at it).

I would say the league and the o-line caught up with the guy (Forte), making him less effective.

 :edit:
I'd think Forte is more like a Brian Westbrook.... if you ask me, except probably not as good for running the ball.

If the Bengals had been up 35-7 or something like that, probably not. But since the game was still up in the air, sure. Not that it matters, we lost anyway.

Congrats to the Cowboys for winning their 1st playoff game in a while... game's at halftime but the Eagles are playing like shit... primarily McNabb.

That Eagles defense is not the same as I've said before, and clearly not up to the task.. that and lol @ the Vick plays.

Miles Austin is miles better than TO.

Ultimate, ask yourself this question, Leno or JCE? Let the deathmatch commence early!

Miles is WAY better than TO.  Imagine his stats if he would of been utilized the first 5 games of the season.  lol  And I really like Favre but the 'boys will obviously win that game.  Ask yourself if you are in the NFC, do you want to play the Cowboys at this point seeing how well they are playing?

hats off to the Cowboys on their strong win.  bringing me to 0 for Saturday.  :isuck:

Quote from: me
the year after the Giants won it all, pundits were picking Dallas to win the division and maybe the entire NFC.  presumptuous bullshit.

ah, i forgot that the year the Giants won it all, the Cowboys had been 13-3, so the pundits weren't being that presumptuous in their NFC pick (though they were snubbing NY).

I think the Cowboys are trying to overcome the kind of mental blocks that are plaguing them. I mean they thought they lost Ware... and then there's the December stats... and now it's the playoff win. I'm not entirely convinced they'll win it all (they definitely have the talent to) since it's still a mental block, but at least health is on their side.

Besides, I hate Favre more than the Cowboys, so I can live with the Cowboys killing Favre. That's not a pick, but I'm very much leaning towards the Cowboys. I'm already liking the opposing team to beat the clusterfuck outta the Jets in the next game.

*finally compares Packers' and Cardinals' stats*
*finally compares Rodgers' and Warner's season stats*

eep, if Arizona hadn't done so well in the playoffs last year and surprised so many people, i'd probably be abandoning my "strategy" of picking the Week 17 losers to rebound right about now.  on paper, it looks lopsided in Green Bay's favor.  :whoa:   but as it is, i'll be sticking by my pick, and likely eating more crow. :/

There's time left, but congrats to the Ravens. The inability to stop the run, more specifically Ray Rice is the problem. That compounded with a good Ravens pass rush pretty much set the offense up for easy scores.

Flacco was a non-factor for the most part (although he was responsible for one key play), but they needed to expose what they needed to. I don't think they can do that forever... since a pass happy team has migrated more towards the run.

Yikes, Packers/Cardinals has not been a game. The Packers first three plays lead to 2 turnovers, and the Cardinals got 14 points off those turnovers. :omg:

Barely in the second quarter, it's 17-0.

I'm having a craptacular day. At least I was right about at least a team beating the team they lost to last week... but I only managed to get the Jets win.

There's something to that Cards offense that seems like a version of the current Steelers offense... and it has everything to do with the head coach of the Cards who was a former Steelers offensive coach...

Go figure. This game seems to be done at the half, plus it's the reverse of the Pats-Ravens game (scorewise).

Amazing game in the second half... although I thought I saw a facemask pull on Rodgers, but wow. No defense, all offense... and epic.

In Minnesota, a former Packer is
