Title: FF4A Big Chocobo Behavior
Post by: Deathlike2 on December 07, 2007, 08:44:30 AM
In the SNES versions prior to FF4A (though, this may have existed in other different port versions), the Big Chocobo always tries to "resort" its item list when you meet it again... in FF4A, the list doesn't get resorted at all.

 :bah: It is annoying... :lame:

I suppose it’s worth noting also that in the SFC version, any items submitted after a quantity of 99 would be discarded. One slot for each item in the game.

In the GBA version, multiple slots can be used for the same item (making it more like a second, very unorganised inventory), but overall there seem to be less of these slots total … so it’s easy to run out of room and have to start selling things anyway.

Definitely  :lame:.

You can definately give many duplicate items to the Big Chocobo in any game. I've done that plenty of times with many sets of arrows.

I’m sure I remember giving more than 99 Potions to the Chubby Chocobo (my favourite translation, since it’s both accurate and appealing) in the SFC version, and them vanishing, though …
