Btw it's me, or in this site people is more for FF IV?
Does anyone, which is familiar with this site, knows how FF games preferences(a percentage extimation) are splitted in this site?

Between JCE3000GT, Chillyfeez, PinkPuff, LordGarmonde, and Deathlike2 I think all of our favorites are FFIV, but I don't think we're the majority of the site, as you can that topic for how to improve FFVI is running many, many pages and the only site sanctioned project is for FFVI. FFV also has a small, but loyal following here with Jorgur, LightPhoenix, and a few others. Assassin, Madsiur, and others are more difficult to pin down, but I'd say they likely lean towards FFVI.

I'm more inclined toward FF6 but FF4 is close second. I might actually code a sprite/portrait editor for FF4 since it has not been done yet unless PinkPuff consider doing it in her editor.... I'll also need the relevant data if it has been discovered.

To my knowledge there are no such plans in the work because FF4kster is basically meant to emulate a "true" devkit for FFIV therefore it uses resources from the game itself in many, many cases and has no outside reach. (There may be a Tile Editor in the works, but I'm unsure if that means to change the graphics of the individual map tiles or if it is in regards to the properties of the tiles)

Chillyfeez is the graphics master as far as FFIV is concerned. He has added new portraits, new enemy sprites, new battle sprites, and even new summons. If there is anyone to discuss graphics with, its Chillyfeez.

Hi there,

I'm primarily responsible for FF4kster, though I have to say I've done very little of my own research; it's mostly just a compilation of whatever knowledge and information gets posted here, packaged neatly and given a clever interface. Of course, the rate at which new information is discovered and posted here is far greater than the rate at which I can realistically code new components, so the editor is a little behind in a lot of areas. I try my best to keep a "to-do" list though to make sure as little as possible falls through the cracks.

Right now the primary focus is indeed the tile editor. However, I would ideally love to have more graphics incorporated into FF4kster. Free time seems to be a short commodity these days though so if someone wants to tackle a graphic editor, by all means give'er. Besides, FF4kster would be more concerned with reading and displaying graphics rather than editing them, other than, say, which monster uses which graphic and which palette, or which weapon or spell uses which animation and so on.
Let's dance!
