Well, the Blood Spear definately needs to be weaker than it's Sword counterpart... IIRC, it's still gotten before it's Sword counterpart in the first place.

Plus, the stat tweaks should be more like -10 Str and Agility, +5 Vitality, Wisdom, Will. Hit rate should be set at 50 to 75% (it'll maximize late game due to levels) and will scale appropriately anyways.

Lol.  Is the giant pretty tough, then?  :d

I'll need to check that out.  I've been away from where I could play for a bit, getting back on it tonight.  :cycle:

Hmm.  Perhaps the reason you stopped using the blood spear is because Kain took it from you when he left??  I forgot if you lose his equips or not, but I definitely stripped him before he left, just in case.  :shadow:

Sealed cave is clear, I went through the whole thing with Kain very dead, even the boss.  (Trying to balance levels.  :d)

... Okay.  I have a question now.  Was the JCE dragon guy supposed to be immensely hard?? Cause I just four manned him using the cover trick.  xD  Just auto-attacks, attack anyone who gets confused, and keep cecil high health, and he was a really easy kill.  I just got some incredible looking equips, but I'm gonna wait for a response before I use them.. Cause if they are as good as I think they are, they'll definitely break my playthrough.

 :edit:
LOL Cecil has 252 attack power and 111 defense, without a shield, using ragnarok and the adamant.  Not a chance I'm using this, too broken.

Moved on to the moon, storaged the 1337 equipment, it's way too good.

Got Fusoyah, he's of course godly... Enterring the giant now.  :banonsmash:

WOW.  That chimaera chest enemy was brutal.  The first time I opened him up, my entire team was on the floor in two Fire's.  :isuck:

Second try failed miserably, so I decided the only way I could beat him was slow/stop combos, and chain stopped him until he died, full party up.   :cycle:

Moving on.

:edit: LOL.  I didn't kill the searcher before the beam enemies, and was punished by a tsumera being spawned.  Reset..  :bah:

WOW.  The four elements were certainly a huge step up from the past bosses.. Congratulations, you made these guys REALLY rough.

Milon was a joke, but I didn't expect anything different..

Then rubicant came out.

Those two pictures sum up the Rubicant segment of my battle.. Lol.  My four top members were laid out the entire time, but Cursed ring > Rubicant.  I slapped a silencer knife on her and just wailed on him til he died.

... Then immediately reset when the water guy hit her four times and tsunami'd to do just over her max health.  Next try I put blur on her before killing rubicant, then Life2'd Cecil and struggled for a while getting everyone up.  Then I kept heals rolling, used potions whenever I needed a quick boost before a tsunami, and whittled him down over time.

The wind chick wasn't bad at all, the 'weak' (Forgot what it was called) spell on everyone was annoying, but I got everyone up quickly and defeated her with everyone on their feet.  :cycle: :cycle: :cycle:

All in all, took a grand total of 2 resets.  The tsunami guy was the only one who could literally kill me.  Proceeding on now.

Levels;
Xlom 51
Rydia 45
Cecil 50
Cipher 44
Rosa 47

Hehe, gotta love surprises.  If you hadn't won the Cursed Ring imagine how hard those battles would of been, eh?  If you have a save there take it off and try again just for grins.

DKK, did you ever fix any issues with FF2usHT like you did with FF3usHT?  I might be getting in the mood to stop playing Romancing SaGa and start working to fix FF2usHT.

Nope. One thing I'd suggest is porting it to version 1.1 to fix the timer issue, shouldn't be too hard to copy all your data changes over, at least one monster (The Ghost) can crash the game because of the broken timers.

The Ghost in 1.0 or the Ghost in 1.1?

Haha, wow... the CPU was hard too.  I spammed meteo the entire time, Rosa healed and used ethers, and Rydia spammed leviathan.  Cecil brsk/hasted himself, and Cipher followed suit with rage.  I did juuuust enough damage before I ran out of resources.  Pretty intense.  On the moon, Kain is back in my party now.

Yeah, but at least I wasnt using the adamant/ragnarok, eh??  I'm not gonna go THAT far.

What made the CPU harder vs normal?

What timer issue are you speaking of? Other than the migration to 1.1 is to fix Sleep/Paralysis with Stop.. there's only one major script-timer issue with those tree monsters that use Poison while under Charm...

Umm.  Good question.  I don't know.  Probably the speed at which everything moved, I don't remember them using remedy so fast, or him recovering so fast.

I decided not to bother with slow, though I'm imagining that's the recommended route for beating him??
