Wait I'm confused... you said you don't have time to work on this hack, but you have time to post all this stuff regarding this hypothetical project?! Why not just get in there and start working on it yourself, looks like you've planned it all out quite well and spent a considerable amount of time that you do not have doing so. I highly doubt anyone is going to make this hack FOR you, but if there ever is (God forbid) a Filly Fantasy IV, I suppose all this info would be nice to have. It's been an amusing thread at least, and for that I thank you!

It is indeed, the top tier upper echelon of bug fix mega-patches currently in existence.

I played the first episode, as it was a demo a while back, and thought it came off a little campy/cheesy, but I definitely want to play the whole thing someday still. That crazy tornado/weather thing going on was pretty epic-looking, that's for sure.

Also, Morph Mayhem and Imzogelmo's MP Digit Recolor:

Seeing as though the MP color digit patch is not a bug fix patch and also messes up the reflect graphic palette, perhaps it'd be better to leave it out of this comp? Or were you just thinking of people who want to use it on the side? It is nice, but the byproduct for the reflect graphic is pretty unsightly. There is this patch that was created to try and address it: https://www.ff6hacking.com/forums/archive/index.php?thread-3485.html, and while it does, it tweaks the new digit colors to be softer/lighter, which makes it look not as good imo.

That is a good proposition indeed. Though, there is a way to get Banon his riding pose and not have all the sprites look jacked up in usme, as Madsiur wrote a code for me a long while back that seems to do just that. I thought Leet's code here was loosely based on it actually, but it seems it took a different direction. From what I can tell it (madsiur's version) counts on having Banon's riding sprite elsewhere in the ROM instead of expanding the whole sheet and then checks if it's Banon riding the bird, to grab the riding sprites.
I'm sure Madsiur won't mind me posting it: http://www.mediafire.com/file/cpg8dy7d6ayr0p5/banon_riding_sprite_by_madsiur.txt

You just need to have a banon riding sprite and place it into the ROM with something like yy-chr at the spot the file indicates. And I'm not sure what "funny at FF/3D20" means in the file lol, it's been too long... hopefully nothing important though. Just tossing this code out here as an alternative, not trying to step on anyone's toes!

EDIT: This code I remember actually is made for 2 characters, Banon and I think the Ghost... but hopefully it could still work out just fine, or could be edited easily to one's specific needs.

By George, he's right^

Hmmm, I'm not sure off-hand, but I may take a look into it as I like finding bug culprits very much lol. But hopefully C.V. has backups and can figure out the cause without much trouble.

That seems to have fixed the issue for Fancy Walking indeed, testing here.

I think King's Robes should be added personally. I think it qualifies for correcting something they either missed or neglected to fix. Does it classify as a bug enough to warrant calling it a 'bug fix'? ...Probably not.
As for No X in Fight, I'd say the exact same thing!

There's also this one in Kefka's Tower if you'd like to add it to the patch as well:

Two black tiles instead of the rest of the background. Pretty damn hard to notice, but on one playthrough I did.

I think keeping the original script, but fixing all the grammar etc. issues (which he's done) would be best for this patch. Or keeping a translation as an alternate patch if anything. This way it's more of a bug fix only base patch to use, and while the translation from DM's project is quite nice, I feel it would take this bug fix base patch to an entirely new place which a lot of people might not want.

That's awesome, LeetSketcher. Is this a general fix for all instances or does it only apply to the White Drgn one? (and no, I can't remember offhand what the others were, but there are a few).

I can believe that this is not limited to just White Drgn, but White Drgn was my reference point for the fix. It's worth noting that camera movements on maps that are actually large enough to provide degrees of freedom are unchanged (e.g. the Battle for the Frozen Esper). Also, upon inspection, $055E is ONLY used for NPC contact triggers, so anything that would make a should-be-fixed camera move for any other reason I don't know about is also unchanged.

It would be nice if you could remember those alleged other instances, but I won't hold that against you.

The ghost npc battles on the ghost train come to mind. I've yet to test if this patch fixes those as well, but I was hoping so as it looks just as bad as the camera can go past the normal map mask/border, I think.

OK cool, must be something on my side, like some kind of cookie for the previous version downloaded or something, who knows.
Nice job on the patch!

Those might just be the reverse patches, those haven't changed. They should be dated February 21. If not, they should be dated February 10, which is when it was updated previously.
I think the zip file still has the older feb 8th patches. The .rar and .7z are updated correctly.

I see the patches are still dated 2-8-17, is this correct?
