FF6 Level Editor Treasures "Set Memory If Found"
« on: December 14, 2010, 08:10:39 PM »
Hello. I'm having great troubles with certain treasures that I've added via LE erasing other treasures, and/or vanishing at certain points in the game. I would like to know how to go about adding treasures the right way, without erasing any others. I see that there are 7 memory bits to choose from when adding a treasure to a map, and so I know it's not a good idea to add two of the same bits on the same map, so I've been avoiding that. But still, most of the new treasures that I add are making others vanish or the chest is open and no treasure inside =(  How do I know what bit to choose anyway? I would like to add a lot more treasures and monsters in box's... It's really a pain in my arse to test this because it involves playing through the game each time to see if all the treasures are working, so if anyone knows what I am doing wrong please help me! Thank you and happy holidays.

Glad you're back Nattak!
But I'm having the same issue, as well. I made a chest in the moogle battle room ($33), and made the treasure chest sprite for it and the such, but after playing around a few times, the chest just appears open as if it had already been opened! Weird stuff, but I think it involves the memory bits. Not sure :/

Short of writing them all down, or looking at the treasure document Imzog has hosted, there is no way to tell. There are some free treasure bits, you just have to find them.

119 bugs fixed and counting.

Thank you JCS, glad to be back online.

Oh OK. I'm glad to know that its not something else all together. I'll take a good look at Imzogelmo's treasure doc,  it just might help a lot. Writing them all down though is most likely what I'll end up doing. Thats a fine idea! Thanks bud.
