General Discussion / Went to the gun range on Saturday.
« on: June 21, 2009, 10:54:54 PM »
I shot a 1920's .45 and a glock with a 9mm barrel and with a .357 barrel in it as well.  It was some great fun.  I did ok, the .45 was from ~15ft and the 9mm was from ~18ft.  The .357 we all used the same target and I didn't grab it.  My girlfriend did good as well, don't have a clear enough picture of the targets but I will try and get some.  :D  Oddly I did much better with the .45, which I attribute to me loving that gun and the sight on it better than the glock.  The .45 just felt perfectly comfortable in my hands, the glock felt "small".  My pinky almost hung off the end of the handle.  LOL  I'm not a "gun guy" or whatnot but I can appreciate and respect these.  And I just flatout love old school .45's and Lugers.

The left is the 9mm and the right is the .45.

Fixed the link.

Gaming Discussion / Final Fantasies on the GBA -- which to get?
« on: June 19, 2009, 01:58:02 PM »
I own IV, V and VI Advance but the US release.  Are the Euro versions actually better to PLAY as in the bugs fixed?  I need someone to breakdown (DKK) what is changed/fixed on the Euro releases.  Or Australian release if it is better.

Thanks.

I've purchased PS2 cases from these people and they are as advertised--perfect and like new.

They have cases for all consoles.  DS, PSP, PS2, PS3, Wii, XBOX, 360 and etc.  Definately a worthwhile expense if you want your collection to look as good as possible.

Gaming Discussion / FF4 DS level grinding
« on: June 16, 2009, 12:29:52 AM »
FF4 DS is a different animal than the others so forgive my noobishness.  I need a good leveling spot to grind out levels that will take the least amount of time and will give me the best exp per monster.  I'm going to start the leveling grinding after I get Rosa and then again after I turn into a Paladin.  Any help is appreciated.

P.S. I cannot find my Action Reply DS so that's the reason for the topic.

General Discussion / Tips to make eBay surfing faster?
« on: June 15, 2009, 08:36:08 PM »
So why has ebay got to be so bloated that it makes any web browser on any computer run like its on 133mhz P1 processor?  I've tried everything in Opera, Firefox and IE to make it load faster on this computer and about 5 others so I know its not me or the computers or the browsers.  So I need someone to give me a hand on what settings my main browser (Opera) need in order for it not to run like molasses.  I'm not a computer noob so feel free to use whatever terminology suits you.  I'm guessing there is a set group of settings I could do that makes it fun faster but I can't seem to find one.  I'm growing annoyed to the extent that I'm almost done with ebay in general.

Its pretty decent--a couple of mistakes/etc but over all a positive review.  I strongly suggest you pick it up.  Its issue 195 July 2009.  That is all.

I've beaten FFT PSX on my PSP, I'm about to beat Romancing SaGa PS2 and a couple of the other games I have are rather lame.  So I need a new game.  Here are some things to think about before recommending me a game.

Things I prefer but not stricly limited to:
-RPG (old school console style)
-Would prefer it on my PSP or DS or maybe PS2 (in order)
-If on PS2 would prefer it not to take more than 30-35 hours to complete
-Do not want to spend more than $25 so I prefer it to be used
-Need something that is truly addictive
-Not to be frustrating or overly tedious

Things she prefers:
-Puzzles
-Would prefer it on the DS or PSP (in order)
-Needs to be addictive to a point where she doesn't want to put it down
-Something that has cute and easy on the eys graphics
-Cannot be frustrating to the point where she puts it down
-Can be one of those cooking DS games

So please send me a link (GameFAQs/spot preferably) of some games to look at.  I am going to do some eBay hunting tonight to find something.

The recent games that we have played are the following--which should give you an idea about what to expect.

Me:
Romancing SaGa (PS2)
Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX)
Dungeon Siege (PSP)
Final Fantasy I (PSP)
Final Fantasy XII (PS2)

Her:
Build-a-Lot
Sudoku
Majong

Thanks in advance!

I just can't get hooked on this.  I prefer the original sadly.  I don't feel like playing through multiple New Game+'s just to get augments or whatnot.  I'd rather go back to playing the SFC/SNES version.

Romancing SaGa (PS2)

54:xx I just completely the marathon item exchange.  Go find this and I'll give you this series of quests.  Now I'm just fooling around trying to learn all my techs and build my money up.  I am close to being finished with Hawke's game, when I finish I will probably put it down and start a new game from another console.  Or maybe I'll do FFXII again?

Gaming Discussion / GameFAQs site broke?
« on: May 15, 2009, 10:58:25 PM »
I can't get past that stupid taco bell advertisement that loads before the site loads.  Won't work in IE or Opera.  It has been doing this for several days.

Gaming Discussion / I'm confused...
« on: April 06, 2009, 09:47:56 PM »
I've been trying to do research on playing imports/emulators on my PS2 without needing a modchip.  So far all I understand is that you need a boot dist or memory card exploit and some odd PS2 disc tray card thing to pull the tray open.

So in plain english can I play imports and emulators without needing to phyiscally open my disc tray.  Or should I buy a PS2 slim just for the top loading disc tray?
