right.  but with no lag afterwards, they'd probably become too overpowered.  still, i agree a menu selection (or a fast-moving Swdtech gauge) would be the sensible input method (before making Cyan wait).

I had an idea about swdtech, I'll post it here, seems relevant.

Make the Swdtech gague use a combination of a stat(I chose Stamina) and Level so it can be sped up as Cyan gets higher in level. I wrote up this:

Current gague tics per second+(Stam/32)+(Level/32)=New tics per second

Also, making the swdtechs more useful would help.

Quadra slam\slice could use the currently held weapon's attack power as the spell's spell power, so that better swords would improve the ability.

I had an elaborate idea for Cleave, basically it would deal defense-ignoring damage to targets immune to Death. I suppose the weapon power could be a good value too.

as for Cyan, the best idea i've seen posted by various people is to have the charge wait occur after confirming the command.
With all commands except Morph, Revert, Magic, Lore, Jump, X-Magic, Health, and Shock having a wait of 16, yeah, that's a little unbalanced. It suggests that Square knew how unbalanced these numbers were, but beta testing/x factor kept them here. Ahh well.

The timer concept is fine... it's the slowness of it that blows major chunks. I find myself executing everyone else's command and leaving Cyan last, and even trying to wait for Cleave, often times the other character's bars are waiting for the next command... it's simply that bad.

That's why  I like ArmorVil's patch that speeds up the timer. It's not perfect, but it does make it suck less.

I love Steal... I use it religiously.

How does one forget that Edgar uses lances? (Tools are better, but meh).

It is the most efficient way of getting a complete set of Force Armors (assuming you care for it) and Genji Armors (well, after going through the Coliseum).

Then again... those that post there conceptualize that game way too much to forget how some of that stuff isn't so bad.... you could certainly live w/o the command, but for this moron here, there's a ton of awesome stuff to be had...

2nd Tempest (ebmid oh noes)
Drainer (way earlier than getting through the WOR Sabin scenario)
Economizer ('nuff said)
Ribbon (because "instant death" via zombie sucks balls)
Safety Bit (because "instant death" in general sucks balls, although one monster's attack ignores this item IIRC)
Force Armor (excluding the girls, you can have a set of this armor for all 4 guys)
Genji Gloves (because, you can only overpower yourself more)

Pretty much tons of stuff you couldn't get enough of, you can have tons more of...

Why hate on the ThiefKnife? :(

Replacing that over the Mithril Shield via the Genji Glove can easily be justified.

While some confused or angry kids make an error in judgment, I almost immediately forgive them. I've even come to respect the Veghbot's AI, becoming more sophisticated every year (albeit very slowly).

What I can't abide by though, is GameFAQs' moderators being slow in the brains. This is what they do, why oh why do such a horrible job? They removed a topic of mine about my walkthrough as spam. The reason they gave was that topics discussing FAQs about the game are  :offtopic:. Apparently, GameFAQs doesn't like it when you talk about stuff on GameFAQs, or when you try to improve your own stuff that's on GameFAQs. That's  :offtopic:. I honestly can't think of anything they could possibly gain with this strategy over allowing a community surrounding a game to talk about secundary media.
