Game Modification Station / Wii Virtual Console question
« on: April 11, 2010, 11:05:20 PM »
So, is there a way to modify the "games" aka ROMs once you purchase them and stick them on either the Wii or the SD card?

I'd like to edit some of the downloaded SNES games for various things.  IE Apply the VWF patch to Secret of Mana and play my FF2usHT inplace of FF2.

General Discussion / Anyone want to buy a TI-82 calculator?

My fiancee doesn't need it any longer and asked me to sell it.  I know these are widely popular but I don't know much about calculators.  The price is within a few dollars of what they are selling for on ebay.

Anyone interested?

Maybe I should take my game to GameStop and ask to swap it.

I started a new game and didn't do the level code and I'm not doing anything except save anywhere, Gil and 100% map.  But I've grown tired of this game already to be honest.  I'm playing FF2 on the Wii and enjoying it.  :D

yeah, i do.  what do you want me to do?

Do you have a save near the tower of babil in the underground and or dr lugae?  I need to see if you can get the battle to freeze if you max out some levels, stats and items.  If not that's ok.

JCE, you didn't buy it off eBay, did you? There's pirated DS games on there now just like the GBA. I guess the cost of materials dropped enough that they can do it now, for a while you were safe buying loose DS games. I bought my mom an extra copy of Animal Crossing a few weeks ago and it was just garbage, she couldn't even play it since it crashed so much.

I bought it at Walmart.  *shrugs*

Well I know that part, I am trying to find out if it is my cheating that is causing it to freeze (even with the action replay not attached to the DS) or if the game is just buggy?

Yes I've cheated using the Action Replay, but only for money, levels/stats, items and 100% maps.  So why are some battles freezing you think?  Dr Lugae, 4 tofu's, and the egg battles freeze.  The music still plays but the character animations and monster ani stops.

Thoughts?

What will happen?

I'm playing this now and have used the 255 item duplication trick now I need something else to let me "cheat" since there is no use of a gamegenie/par.  Any ideas of bugs, or things I can do to play around with the game?

General Discussion / Slot machine emulation
« on: April 04, 2010, 10:48:59 PM »
I have some favorite slot machines that I played at Vegas when I went last month.  I was wondering if these slot machine roms were floating around somewhere?  I'd love to play them again on my computer just for the novelty.

Lord J can ask the project leaders himself; he doesn't need an attention-whoring no-name such as yourself to acquire this information for him.

2 things...

1. You have 4 posts and he has 227 on this forum, he's more active than you are.  Doesn't that mean that you need to mind your P's and Q's when coming to a new place REGARDLESS of the topics or posts?  And calling him a "whoring"-blah blah is rather juvenile isn't it?

I've been here for two years. Just because I don't post much doesn't mean I don't know what I'm on about. The wise man says the least, etc.

2. Second, if the project members are going to approve or deny the request that is for them to decide and speak about.

You seem to be under the impression that Lenophis doesn't share examples of extreme stupidity on IRC. Unfortunately, this means I know precisely how he feels about this matter, whereas you do not. Please don't tell me I shouldn't be making assumptions when, er, I'm not. :)

I don't care how long you've been here, you are not active so that doesn't give you the right to be the all-knowing member and speak for someone else you are NOT.  And, less you forget you used a personal attack and that is something that a "wise man" would not do.  Learn some restraint and simply post with wisdom.

I'm not being rude or mean, I am just passing along some advice.
