Well, the only complete hacks are:

FFT 1.3, which is a hardtype mod.
1.3 Easytype, which has the gameplay balances of 1.3, but without the difficulty.
Complete, which gives the PSX version the War of the Lions Script.
Call of Power Chapter 1, which is an all new story.

And my patch, FFT Newtype, which is complete in terms of gameplay, but not the entire script.

I don't care much about the story. I'm hoping for new skills, mixed skills or new classes, ect.
Something to puts a new spin on the battles (the fun part).
A butchered or abridged style script would be one of the few reasons I'd want to play specifically a new scripted patch.

What does Newtype offer? :O

Well ironically, the stuff you mentioned above is exactly what Newtype offers. =x

There are new skills for some jobs, some jobs have been totally altered (such as the Oracle having a new skillset based around Predictions, Archer having all new skills, Gafgarion being more like a Dark Knight, etc. etc.)

I'm working on a new translation for the script, and Chapter 1 is complete thus far. Additionally, Cloud has been replaced with Balthier, who uses his Quickenings and skills from Revenant Wings. Overall, it's meant to make FFT feel more like FFXII. This includes having added Yiazmat as a boss in Deep Dungeon. ;)

A note, though. There are quite a few sprite errors with event sprites. This is being fixed, but it's going to take a while. It's nothing gamebreaking, mind, just a graphics thing.
