New Version. The "making" has been dropped from the filename now, so I went and added a note to the older versions that they originally had it.

Leno: All of your movie links pointed at the 22nd version, I fixed that for you. Also, you've got the year listed twice in your filenames, and the month is nowhere to be found. Anyway, you're not alone dying on that screen, I've died there at least once, and Vixy from Rockman PM ended her 381 screen run there too. I'd like to include that run on the archive but I kind of want to limit it to Nestopia movies only, for consistency, quality, and size reasons. Any thoughts on this? It's a good time to decide these things, before the link goes up on the archive.

Leviathan Mist: I'll add that run once I get a chance to watch it again and take a screenshot.

odditude: Yeah, that's a great screen to use Rush on, I never really thought about doing so before though. Maybe I'll add that to the strategies page, I haven't tried this new version yet but so far that magnet screen was the only one I thought really needed a video, the page is kind of empty as a result.

I'm not entirely sure myself. I reserve my thoughts for a later time. :hmm:

Rawr Rawr (for November 27).

I don't know which one you want to use, but both are here for your choosing.

An earlier attempt got to about 60, plus a doink off of Magnet Man (I bounced the spark off of him).

:edit:

Got a better run.

Okay, the movie demo page has been updated. I used the results screen as planned, but I have to admit the shots from the actual runs are more interesting, maybe I'll rethink that idea.

New Version. Went up sometime after I made my post this morning, it wasn't there when I checked before.

Mediocre run for the November 28th update.

Mega win for the November 29th update.

Also, lookie at who I am fighting:

El woot! As far as I can tell, all 8 of the Doc bots appear (and they do drop life when you beat them), but they won't appear until after the first 8 are beaten. To complete a lap, it looks like you'll have to go through all 16 bots. :omg: It also looks like all of them use Needle redux, so you won't be able to tell who you are fighting until you get in there.

Interesting. I'll get the movies page updated later today.

 :edit:

Updated. I'll have to grab death screenshots for the other two results screens, I've decided to go with those instead (they make the page more interesting).

Movie page updated, I replaced the last two results screens with in-game ones, and uploaded Leno's 28th movie I missed, plus one of my own.

Prototype submission guidelines for the page:

Quote
If you wish to submit a movie, keep the following in mind. Only emulator movies recorded with Nestopia are accepted. This is for a number of reasons, including file size, quality, and so that all movies on this page can be played with one emulator. Currently all movies have been recorded with version 1.40, but the latest version of the emulator should be used, please note which version of the emulator you are using in your submission.

Your movie should contain a single playthrough, starting at either the title screen or results screen. It should end at the results screen, or the password screen if recording with an older version of the hack.

All submissions must have a clean screenshot, clean meaning that the shot is taken at (NTSC) NES resolution with no filters in place, and no emulator window. Nestopia has a screenshot key, which can be defined under File in the Input Options. This key will output a clean screenshot provided you aren't using any filters at the time you take the shot. The screenshot should show the screen your run ends on.

The preferred method for submitting movies is to upload both the movie and screenshot and simply send the links in your submission e-mail, however, file attachments are also acceptable. In your submission please note the name you wish to have listed on the page, and how many screens you cleared.

Let me know if you think anything should be added.

Well, Rockman 3 Endless hasn't been updated in forever, but Rock5easily's page now has an additional file listed under the two english sentences. I don't know what it's for.

I couldn't figure out what it was, though I just played it for a few minutes. I wonder what's going on with this hack, maybe ask kuja if he's heard anything from the creator, seems odd that progress just stalled all of a sudden.

Its reign of terror has come to an end! Now, why didn't one of us think of that...? :bah:

* Lenophis started to use Rush Marine there, which should be just as good

:edit:

Well, I have a theory as to why the next update took 11 days.  I fear the lasers have indeed found their way into this one.

That wastes a ton of energy compared to this though, and you still have a high risk of dying from damage alone.

Hey, that wasn't there earlier. I probably won't get a chance to update the page until later today, but this is version 081211.

 :edit:

Had some extra time, archive updated.

 :edit:

Not lasers, a Yellow Devil!

Which you can skip by walking off the right side of the "DANGER" screen.

i always used that in the original game, but i haven't played endless.  (remember my earlier comment about the "RJ ubersafetynet" ..?)

rush marine is a rush jet you can't jump off of (to avoid damage or conserve weapon energy) and can't leave the water in.  the only reason to ever use rush marine is if you don't have RJ or you somehow managed to run out of RJ energy.
