You ever accidently buy a game you already own?

Having over 400 console games sometimes I forget what I own...and in this case I accidently (within a month) bought 2 copies of Suikoden IV.  Whoops...

Happen to anyone else?

Heh, yes and no. I've personally never bought a copy of anything twice unintentionally, but I've bought replacement copies of games I thought I lost/sold only to find out I lent them out to a friend years ago and forgot about them.

The only game I've ever bought a duplicate of is FF for NES. The first one I bought (used from a rental store) had a shot battery the moment I got it. A couple years later, I bought another from somewhere else (Collector's Connection, local chain I believe). It had a good battery. Unfortunately, no thanks to the events of 1996, I wound up losing that good copy and almost all of my NES and some of my SNES collection.

only games i've had multiple copies of are when i've had to replace stolen copies.

and i'm STILL incredibly bitter about the copy of suikoden ii that got stolen just after it went out of print in late 2000... i'm definitely not replacing that at > $100.

I was stupid and sold my Suikoden 2...that was a huge mistake!  Now they are extremely expensive!

Lending games out to friends has never resulted in the return of the game.

My brother has bought Bomberman 2 about 4 times.
First copy he sold,
Second copy he traded,
Third copy my friend stole,
Fourth copy still in our possession.
