Well, I have an alpha version of my mod, Its not complete yet (obviously) but you could toss in a couple codes grab a lunar whale and explore the new world I made.

Here is the download link ---> http://www.mediafire.com/download/9cizmj3bb9cou2i/CecilPaladinMod%28Alpha%29.smc

The outer part of Baron Castle is messed up. Once I left the lobby I was stuck, unable to move. I think I materialized inside a wall or something. Anyway I used FF4kster to hack my way past the opening events and onto the overworld with a Lunar Whale and yeah it looks neat so far.

I'd be interested in giving it a go once it's a bit more playable.

Ah, glad to see more FFIV hacks in the making! I'll download this (use FF4kster to get past the places where I can't go) and see what you've done.

There's a lot of interesting things you did with this world map! You even added some subtleties like the mention of Baron having a weak naval force so you placed their docking points away from the center of the kingdom's power and the idea of connecting Damcyan and Troia via the shallows is a very neat idea and in addition is how you've made the trek to Mt. Ordeals an actual trek is also a good way to expand upon the game's background.

You even touched up the Underworld, made a few more connecting paths here and there, expanded the Three Step Penninsula into an actual area of the map, the Moon changes are few, but they are interesting. I didn't see the Hummingway Cave though I may have missed it.

The only glitch seems to be Baron Castle, everywhere else that I went to seemed to work properly. I think all you need to do is copy default map data over the section of Baron Castle and you should be good to go.

Was the base rom v1.1? If not, there is a chance that saving with FF4kster (even if no changes are made) might mess something up. I didn't encounter any problems but I also didn't mess around much, mostly just explored overworld and played a couple of events.

I couldn't use FF4Kster, because the ROM I'm using is v1.0 Because the map editor I'm using only takes v1.0. And I screwed up Baron by trying to add a new Baron map via hex editor, But... That obviously didn't turn out well (I'm yet a n00b)

Thanks! I spent a while, trying to patch up any holes so one couldn't glitch through the game, Like Troia, I spent a while there, But I made all that mainly because of that useless chocobo forest being left out. And my goal was to make the map seem longer but cutting off short cuts.

Don't worry, I'm working on the map editor for FF4kster as we speak. Soon you will be able to do it all with the one tool.

Okay! This mod is not going to take very long now, because, I found out how to use ff4kster and this mod is already almost caught up to where it used to be.
