Why in the fuck do you have so many Super Scope copies??

3 reasons:
  • Backup cases incase one cracks, breaks, or has marker on it.
  • Swap out the import PCB into the US cart case so no modification is needed to the SNES or need for a converter.
  • They were $0.08 a piece when I worked at Funcoland.

Those games costed my brother and parents $89.99+tax each.  They weren't cheap at all.  They both were bought on the first release day.

Yah I remember when they cost that much! I remember one of the big deals with FF-III snes was the "3 Megabit" size of the cart. Which is one of the reasons RPG's cost so much back then, because of the memory required to store the ROM.

I still remember having to save for months to buy FF-II SNES, I think it ran about $75 in 1991.

Hell, I think you can buy a used GBA and FF4-Advance for around $100 or less these days...by comparison.

I'm glad I've held on to my copies of these game carts over the years.

Aight...

Here it is

At least that all the ones I could think of off the top of my head.  I've never had tons of games, and I mostly play RPG/Adventure/Strategy RPG games when I do play VG's. I don't get into MMORPGs because of time and money constraints (I thought constantly paying to play a game went out with the video arcades of the 80's).

All my SNES and GB Classic games are vintage, and bought when they came out (or thereabouts). Those are the two consoles I actually owned when I was a kid.
(Yeah...my parents wouldn't buy me an NES back in the day because we only had one TV then, and Dad didn't want me using it for that. But when the GB came out that was kosher with them.) So the NES games I do have I bought with a used NES at a Funcoland in the late 90's.

Final Fantasy Adventure was the first "console" game I actually bought with my own money. I bought it in 1991, it's a first edition copy with the original SQUARE logo (same one that's on older Square games), not the SUNSOFT re-release. Cart still works, last time I played it I loaded up a 15 year old save on the cart using my GBA-SP!

I also play my original copies of Secret of Mana, Legend of Zelda ALTP, and Uncharted Waters New Horizons on my original SNES. Most other games of this vintage I emulate now.

The Japanese game copies I specifically sought on Ebay or through Amazon.co.jp. The exception being Der Langrisser and Fire Emblem which a guy selling a Super Famicom Jr. console on eBay packed with the auction lot when I won it. I might add that Der Langrisser is a rather fun strategy/tactical RPG and I would love to see a translation of that sometime (I've tried but without much luck...).

My Japanese copies of FF-II-FC, FF-III-FC, FF-IV-SFC, FF-IV-ET-SFC, FF-V, and FF-VI are complete with boxes. As are most of my original SNES games, including FF-II-SNES and FF-III-SNES. The only one I care about that got lost was  Chrono Trigger, though I do still have the Cart.

I also have Final Fantasy VII PC and a number of old Win9x PC games but it doesn't look like I can add PC games on that site. I don't do much native PC gaming.

*sees Suikoden and Suikoden II in Paladin's list*

Epic bumpage (it's sticked, but who notices these things?) for pointing out that I've recently (as of about 20 minutes ago) permanately come into a new game. This game is one I've been wanting for many months now, as you guys probably know. As luck would have it, I did find Warriors Orochi..............at a rental store. I rented it over the weekend (as noted here), and now thanks to the kindest of friends, I now own it.

119 bugs fixed and counting.

So, I was bored, so I decided to take some photos of my Final Fantasy series collection. Keep in mind this isn't everything (I have the original NES game and FFII and III for SNES somewhere around here...just can't find 'em.) But this is a good chunk of my FF collection right here. Also, I know the snapshots are poor quality, so I'm gonna caption the names of each game below each picture. Sorry, my webcam is really crappy.

From top to bottom -
Final Fantasy XII (PS2)
Final Fantasy VII - Dirge of Cerberus (PS2)
Final Fantasy XI(PC)
Final Fantasy X-2 (PS2)
Final Fantasy X International (PS2)
Final Fantasy X (PS2)

From top to bottom -
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles - Ring of Fates (DS)
Final Fantasy III (DS)
Final Fantasy XII - Revenant Wings (DS)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (GC)

From top to bottom -
Final Fantasy Origins (PS1)
Final Fantasy Anthology (PS1)
Final Fantasy Chronicles (PS1)
Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1)

From top to bottom -
Final Fantasy VII (PS1)
Final Fantasy VIII (PS1)
Final Fantasy IX (PS1)

From top left to bottom right -
Final Fantasy I & II - Dawn of Souls (GBA)
Final Fantasy IV Advance (GBA)
Final Fantasy V Advance (GBA)
Final Fantasy VI Advance (GBA)

If anyone would like to see a more detailed look of any of my games, just say so. I do still have the original GBA game boxes stashed away here in one of my drawers, I'll dig them out if you wanna see them. Also, if anyone wants to see any more of my game collection, feel free to ask. I have a huge Square-Enix game collection as well.

-EDIT-

I forgot one. Here's my copy of Advent Children (I know, technically not a game but still part of the FF series.)
