That's pretty neat!  I sold my 360 a couple of years ago when it ate my discs.  I want to get another one soon...I have alot to catch up on.

Been there done that years ago.  That document is old, it was originally released with FF3ed.

Somewhere I have a breakdown of one of FF6's sequences but at the moment I cannot find it.   :lame:

*edit*
Oh and there is also a more complete spc sequence command list around my harddrive too that I cannot find at the moment.

This should help if you want to take a peek at MQ/SoM/FF5 imports to FF6.  Now if I could figure out FF4's core a bit more...

*edit*
Oh, and so far a great job on importing FF4's battle theme.

Gaming Discussion / Re: Latest purchase?

I bought 16 more complete boxed SNES games from the sosafan2 ebay seller.  One of which is this.

Next week I'll be trying to get about another 3-4 MQ's and FF2us'.

They came!  And some are in absolutely mint shape!

Maybe the speed at which physical harddrives can read/write is limited to the hardware technology.  In other words wait until solid state harddrives become more mainstream and you'll see speeds increase.  I doubt a typical magnetic motorized arm style harddrive is going to ever successfully (or cheaply) achieve more than 15,000rpm without exploding.  haha

General Discussion / HDD / USB Storage ... my my my how things have changed
« on: September 22, 2009, 03:10:02 PM »
I was in Fry's Electronics the other day and saw some 16GB USB flash drives for like $30 and 32GB for $50.  I was at Walmart today to shop for various items and saw a Sandisk Cruzer 8GB for $20 so I had to pick it up.  About 2 years ago I bought what was at that time the high end 1GB Sandisk Cruzer for $50, then last year I bought a 4GB for $40.  And even 5 years ago I bought a 128MB which was the second highest available next to the 256MB for $30.   I cannot believe how much space they are putting on these things and how space is getting cheap again.  Seems every 7-8 years harddrive (and in this case flash memory) gets dirt cheap.  Hell, yesterday ay Fry's there was a Hitachi Deskstar 500GB for under $50 and a 750GB for under $70.  I saw a 1 TB for $89 and a freaking 2TB for $169.  I'm seeing 250GB Western Digital drives for $49.

Isn't this just insane?

548
Maybe 2 minutes afterwards.  Had to open the patio door and unplug the smoke detector.

549

Ummm, grabbing a pan without using an oven mitt/glove is a bad idea.  My fire alarm was going off while I'm cooking french toast (I'm in an apt) so I had to act fast by taking the pan off the burner to stop the french toast from smoking any more.  I had to unplug the firealarm and open the patio door.

Needless to say my hand is not peechy keen right now.  Granted the picture was taken a few minutes ago and this happend about 6 hours ago.  You should of seen my hand about 4 hours ago.  Good thing I have a high pain tolerance.

Looks like the cut scene map after the Mist event.

Check my FF2usHT.  I fixed it, as well as the 2-handed equip bug.

:edit:

already, the monsters seem easier? after i got to level 2, i didn't have to heal after every battle.  it's now every 2nd or 3rd.

I have no idea why the monsters seem easier.  I'm thinking my counter thing is busted.

This is worth installing another browser for, trust me. It doesn't sound like the event/map editor issues with Opera are that bad, anyway.

So how does the event editor actually work.
