the two NFC teams really like scoring 23 points.  a rounding error with the scoreboard's little known FPU will give Seattle a 23.0001 to 22.9999 edge over San Francisco during a scoreless 4th overtime.

for Pro Bowl, i would have picked the (already-trailing) Team Rice over Team Sanders, since Deion seems like somewhat of a gasbag.  at 7-0 with a little left in the first quarter, it's definitely got a different pacing than most Hawaiian score fests, where points are as plentiful as pineapples.

Bonus 1: Danny Trevathan is named the game's MVP.  In a tearful ceremony, the linebacker confesses to being Danielle, a 19-year-old runaway who fled home 3 years ago due to an argument over curfew and scrunchies.  Before the stunned media can muster up any words, she flies off, her jetpack's rainbow-colored booster fire leaving a fragrant cloud behind.

Bonus 2: Three times in the NFC championship, Russell Wilson made the innovative move of not scrambling to the side or forwards, but running several yards straight backwards.  He's normally rather smart, so it's almost as if a Final Fantasy monster cast R. Polarity or Muddle on him.  The 49ers were mostly unable to hold him to account for such idiocy, as the tactic only blew up in his face once.  However, the uncelebrated Broncos defense has the benefit of consulting this game tape.  When Jack Del Rio and Danielle aren't trading hair tips, they will concoct a perfect scheme to ensure that Mr. Wilson's errant running brings great pain to the Seahawks.  Then they will giggle incessantly.

Yowza!  That was UG-LY.  The tone was set early, and the gap just widened.  This thing was over by halftime.  Fortunately, the Super Bowl doesn't count for more than one point in our little contest here.

Congrats to the Seahawks for excelling in all aspects of the game.  Their defense was particularly dominating.  Deathlike2 nailed the pick six call.  Among their many accomplishments was making Eric Decker, usually a go-to target, a non-factor.

man, that sucks; did they pay you holiday overtime rate?  hey, the first quarter and a half was entertaining. :P  anyway, you were definitely right about elite defense trumping elite offense.  i'd witnessed it in prior years, but thought the Broncos were special enough to escape it.

My prediction on my teams...

Cowboys 4-12 and sucking horribly.  Romo will last 4 games and there will NO focus on the running game.  Penalty prone and Jerry being f'ing Jerry and signing/trading for problems and or thugs.  <-- just happened with that stupid player who committed a DWI homicide.  Brown will be reinstated in 10 games...

Houston 6-10 and being mediocre needlessly and unfortunately.  Injuries will plague them again.  :(
