Yeah, "SOLDIER: First Class" really doesn't seem all that impressive...

I hate to necro such an old topic but did anyone ever make a good battle script for this Zemus? I actually want to take a different route and make your final party fight this one, as you have the opportunity to actually take Golbez with you here as well as the fact that FuSoYa no longer has a sprite... So that renders the final scene with those two trying to take him out on their own unavailable.

(btw, even tho its extremely old news, If you dummy the Piggy status, you can put in a fully animated Golbez [the sprite bleeds into where is half sprite begins, but leaves some extra space between him and Anna], the piggy sprite is actually counted as a full sprite AND uses Golbez palette by default.)
eh, what do I care...

Well you need to disable the auto-battle option for the formation (duh) and then it's just a matter of coming up with stuff for him to do. If you don't want to start from scratch you need to kill the elemental counters so that they don't trigger the dialogue/death sequence.

Thanks, Ill keep that in mind.

btw, the program I have for editing enemies seems to have some bugs. one time i changed one thing about an enemy and it, for example, made the mist dragon have ultimate defense (i didnt do anything to that particular monster)

is there something more up to date than the "smchack" program i have? might be a dumb question but im having trouble finding the best one
eh, what do I care...

Am I the only person here who, when he sees the name Golbez, I think of South Park; Timmy's turkey Gobbles?

I'm sorry to necro a topic from, like 8 years ago (!!!), but how was this done?

I found the place in the ROM where the map and battle spell lists are assigned.  There is a place for the Golbez actor for battle spells, though not for map spells (that I could find).  I changed Golbez's battle spell list assignment to the unused 01 spell list apparently intended for Kain, and I piled some fun things into that list.  But if I put the Golbez actor in my party and access his magic menu, there's nothing in it.  Is there another step I need to do?

Thanks!
