NFL season (2009-2010), week 21 - playoffs?!
« on: August 15, 2009, 09:55:19 PM »
It's that time again! The time when we all make preseason predictions and all look foolish because we're really not smart enough to predict an NFL season! :omg:

NFC West:
Seahawks: Things have to go better than they did last year for them. 9-7
49'ers: Look out, Singletary is going to rock the boat! 8-8
Rams: Ehhhh... 4-12
Cardinals: 9-7

NFC North:
Packers: If the defense does anything...10-6
Bears: And now the Cutler effect. 11-5
Vikings: Still not a QB to be had. 8-8 Now with #4: 10-6
Lions: 2-14

NFC South:
Panthers: 10-6
Falcons: Sadly, I see a downturn this year. 7-9
Buccaneers: 4-12
Saints: 10-6

NFC East:
Cowboys: Ha! 8-8
Giants: 11-5
Redskins: 6-10
Eagles: 10-6

AFC West:
Raiders: 2-124 :edit: Yeah, 14 game season huh? :isuck:
Chiefs: 5-11
Broncos: 7-9
Chargers: 8-8

AFC North:
Browns: 4-12
Ravens: 8-8
Steelers: 10-6
Bengals: 4-12

AFC South:
Jaguars: 8-8
Titans: 12-4
Colts: Their streak of 12 win seasons has finally come to an end. 10-6
Texans: 8-8!

AFC East:
Dolphins: 9-7
Jets: 6-10
Patriots: Look out, train coming through! 13-3
Bills: 8-8

Ph34r the numbers!

I'm surprised some of the records fall in line with what I think, although I wouldn't put down the Colts. There's a greater chance that the Titans will come back down to earth, naturally speaking, with the Chargers winning the AFC West... the NFC West is STILL PATHETIC, and lol Lions.

I don't think the NFC South is that good either...

Additionally.. I think the Vikings will outright suck this year. Starting off the season with a lost QB is not the way to go (not that he was good in the first place, and you could've had Matt Cassel for a steal).

Be prepared to have another lost season Leno. See the J E T S.
The season was lost yesterday, because they had no QB to keep them afloat. At least with the gunslinger, there's a chance.

Brett Favrerere is going to disappoint. I'm not kidding. This is not "afloat", it's a sinking ship.

You have balls for stating that the Vikings make the playoffs? Can I hold the knife that'll cut them off?

Remember that your schedule needs tweaking because of the flex schedule.

It's time.  :omg:

Quote
Titans @ Steelers (Thursday)

Steelers - I don't see any way that the Steelers embarrass themselves on opening night. This and the Titans losing Haynesworth to FA will be the difference.

Quote
Dolphins @ Falcons

Falcons - Falcons as of last year have been much better at home, and this should be no different.

Quote
Broncos @ Bengals

Bengals - Broncos are in a significant transition year, plus we don't really know if Kyle Orton will play. Chances are, the Bengals have a shot to have one good week with Ocho Cinco.

Quote
Vikings @ Browns

Vikings - I want Favrerererere to lose, but with the Browns in their transition... and Brady Quinn being an unknown quantity, I don't see the Browns winning.

Quote
Jaguars @ Colts (division)

Colts - With Peyton getting some preseason time unlike last year, I see the Colts winning the division again. I have NFI what the Jags are this year...

Quote
Lions @ Saints

Saints - Lions will extend their losing streak. 'Nuff said.

Quote
Cowboys @ Buccaneers

Cowboys - Bucs have no QB IIRC. That and a fired offensive coordinator is probably a good bet.

Quote
Eagles @ Panthers

Eagles - Eagles to upset the mediocre Panthers... ya they have no record, but they are fucked in FA because of salary cap issues and Julius Peppers.

Quote
Chiefs @ Ravens

Ravens - Cassel's not playing, and the Ravens defense will probably hold them off.

Quote
Jets @ Texans

Texans - Does anyone see a rookie QB winning their first game period? It doesn't help when it's on the road.

Quote
Redskins @ Giants (division)

Giants - I'm not buying into the Redskins yet.

Quote
49'ers @ Cardinals (division)

Cards - 49ers have no QB, and this is a home game for the Cards...

Quote
Rams @ Seahawks (division)

Seahawks - I see them backing a bounce back year... whereas the Rams are meh IMO.

Quote
Bears @ Packers (division)

Bears - I call this my upset pick, only because it seemed like a good thing to do.

Quote
Bills @ Patriots (division)

Pats - You know there's something wrong when you fire your offensive coordinator that early.

Quote
Chargers @ Raiders (division)

Chargers - Anyone can beat the lame Raiders.
