What is an "event command"?

Ok, cool.

Sorry if I sound uptight about the Bushido thing... it's just that it hits on one of my FF6 sensitive nerves. I have a lot of complaints about that game but one of the main ones is that several characters have commands that are just plain better than Fight (and others that are just plain worse for that matter) and it makes for terrible game balance.

Trust me, it doesn't. It's not so easy that Bushido = pwnage.

Care to enlighten us on the advantages of Fight over Bushido?

Even in the original, the first Bushido technique "Dispatch"? was better than Fight. Not only did it do more damage (typically), but it ignored physical defenses, hit all the time, and you didn't have to wait to charge it up.

I would reccommend sticking with the new damage formula that incorporates weapon power, but put the speed back down to what it used to be, and get rid of Bushido 1 completely (have it do nothing) so that you actually have to wait to get the good techniques.

With respect to the video showcasing Cyan's new Bushido... is there any reason to use his Fight command anymore? It seems like Bushido charges ridiculously fast and does ridiculous damage. Does it still have 100% hit rate?

They're actual resistances. In FF4, just as weapons can have bonus damage against certain monster races, armors can likewise have bonus defense against certain races.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new parts of the story. However, as a game I'm afraid that what I've seen and heard about it so far doesn't impress me. The new graphics are terrible (my personal opinion only), and the system of inheriting abilities, while better than nothing (which is what we got in the original), is nowhere near as awesome as the party customization system in FF4 Advance.

Not a bug, but something that annoyed me about that game is the fact that everyone could dual-wield. It made shields useless and it was odd having wizards going around with two rods or two staffs all the time (since there's no reason not to). Also, characters that can equip shields could equip two shields (one in each hand) if you really wanted them to, which is also kinda silly if you ask me.

I think 3D and human characters should never mix, SD or not. They always look terrible, at least to me. I would have liked to see graphics more in a FF-Tactics-style fashion, and likewise for the cutscenes.
