An earlier version, before I copied the palette over.

Is the misspelling of "failed" intentional?

Anyways, I remember one important thing about fonts... RPGe's font for FF5 was awful when it came to the rendering the end game stuff. I think their previous patch was better at it (I think the difference between fonts was some font shadowing or whatever).

Oh well.. it is just a random thought that came to mind.

Yeah, this font looks absolutely terrible if you shadow it the wrong way, both the shadow and normal text color are white here - it can probably be overcome with a simple palette hack though. Same goes from the opening scene but in reverse; the shadow is removed entirely.

And then go play Mega Man 6, which is where the line comes from.

Actually, a quick image search shows it's "MY SCHEME FOR WORLD DOMINATION HAS FAILD!," oh well, close enough.

That's a good point. Dragonsbrethren, is the credits font palette for FF2us the same as the normal text palette?

No, the gray in the font palette is white in the credits palette.

That's OK then, I'm using a white font with gray shadowing, which should show up fine then. Glad not to have to mess with that...

Yeah, it works out fine for my font too, except "T" ends up kind of odd looking, if I don't change the palette I'll probably just make a special one for use there.

Here's what happens if you forget to replace the normal pointer writes with custom ones when inserting FF4 Advance's script:
