Fix the wiki first!

Not really, it's just on insanedifficulty because that's what it is - but now I would actually like to see the flamewar if someone found out what I did to the manaland revisit (not included in the easy version)
What did you do? :3

As far as I know, only this:
http://www.romhacking.net/submissions/

This will kind of give them rights to the files in question and you will not be able to remove them from the site without a good reason. I'm sure that is why some people use services like dropbox instead (I am one of them).

Interesting. Duelist seems a bit overpowered, and I can't say I like what you did to Lise. No STR up or DEF down until FC's?

Crud, I don't seem to have them. I sent him a PM about it.

For now, if anyone reading this has the files, please upload them here!

I am attaching the patch as an IPS to apply over unheaded roms.
Is your ROM headered?

I don't have a clue. I have honestly never looked into it.  :hmm:

I found this text I apparently wrote long ago.

Fractional M system patch
_________________________

Game: Final Fantasy V
Author: instructrtrepe
Uploaded: (Not uploaded)

Changes the formulas for most attacks so that every level
and stat point counts towards the final damage output.
Also changes the damage formula of Agility based weapons.
The weapons in question will be more powerful than before.

This patch has been tested very little, but it is known to
cause Goblin Punch to always do 0 damage.
Uses ROM area D0/2E10-D0/2E89 (unused monster data space).

If I understand this right, the english patch translation of this Ancient Cave doesn't actually translate anything outside of the game. So if I wanted to apply other patches, how do I go about doing this? The RPGe patch, then the spooniest one, then the ancient cave, then the ancient cave translation? The other patches, I am guessing, is going to be tricky to see how they interact with the Cave patch.
That won't work. The Ancient Cave patch uses space from E0/0000 to FF/FFFF. RPGe's translation uses E0/0000-E7/FFFF. The english translation of Ancient cave is actually fundamentally different from that of RPGe in that it uses little or no space after E0/0000. You cannot combine FF5AC and RPGe's translation without extensive hacking and modification.

It imports a few things from FF4, and many maps have been altered by adding new chests (some of them are hidden). It's a great hack, you really ought to try it.

 :edit:
I forgot. There are a bunch of new weapons and armor from FF5a.

The fractional M patch is pretty sweet. One problem I found with it was that Goblin Punch did 0 damage after patching.

The Berserker patch is more of a balance patch rather than the bugfix. I thought the only way to make the job useful was to make Berserk status optional somehow. The knife parameters issue is indeed a bug, but not a very serious one (more info here).

I'm guessing most fan-art is Japanese in origin, and Japan seems to have a thing for blondes. That's the best explanation I can come up with, atleast.

Here is a crapload of assorted fan-art:

I decided to make a topic for SD3 discussion not related to hacking.

To start off, what are your favorite strategies and set-ups?

They are not really noticable the first time you play. At the 2nd and 3rd playthrough you start to notice there is something strangely wrong with the game. The most noticable ones are probably that hit rate and crit rate seem to do nothing.
