Final Fantasy IV Research & Development / FF4 3 hour Speed Run
« on: July 29, 2013, 09:02:56 PM »
http://www.twitch.tv/speeddemosarchivesda

These guys are speed running FF4 US (SNES). While running they mentioned something interesting about battle RNG. What frame you hit New Game on determines random battle RNG... which... doesn't make sense?

Did we know this?

Anyone planning on playing this when 2.0 came out? I've been absolutely loving the beta. A lot of my friends from xi and I will be on hyperion for release if anyone wishes to join. I downloaded the soundtrack from 1.0 the other day and I'm kinda sad they are replacing a lot of those tracks. even though 1.0 was shit, the ost was simply beautiful.

Finished up a new 8bit track. Figured it had been long enough since I did the CT and Lost Odyssey tracks and that it was time to dabble in it again. Lemme know what you think :D

Gaming Discussion / Seiken Densetsu 3 3player patch
« on: August 26, 2012, 09:50:26 PM »
I know there's a 3 player patch for this game, but does anyone know if a goodset version of this 3 player patch exists? I'm trying to use mamehub to allow for more than 2 players in netplay but mamehub will  only recognize games from the goodset. I can't seem to find a goodset list anywhere either :/

Gaming Discussion / bookshelf style emulator interface
« on: April 24, 2012, 03:35:59 PM »
awhile back I found an emulator interface that would display box art for the games as you were scrolling through the list of games you had. I can't remember the name of it though, but it was an nes emulator... maybe snes too. I foudn something like it, but it's for mac. does anyone know the name of the windows version?

SPC - Hard Core / Someone finally did it (nsf and spc's on iphone)
« on: August 15, 2011, 04:26:18 PM »
Which is a shame too cause I just found a developer who wanted to work on this with me

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/noise-entertainment-system/id408736178?mt=8

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/snesplayer/id404667899?mt=8#

However, I would still like to push forward with my version as I feel we could make some great additions to these apps.

So that being said, what features would you like to see in an NSF/SPC player? we're thinking about doing more players as well.

Gaming Discussion / JCE's alternate instrument SPC's
« on: July 01, 2011, 09:18:43 AM »
I know yer out right now, but for when you get back, do you have any of your alternate instrument SPC's in mp3 format? the ones where you took a different game's instruments play stuff from the FF's and I think even Mana? I wanted to DJ some of them on turntable.

General Discussion / Music Channel
« on: June 23, 2011, 09:53:49 AM »
So I don't know if any of you have heard of turntable.fm but if your interested, I'm hosting a video game music room. right now my selection is limited as I'm at work and only have a few albums on this laptop, but the room allows for 5 people to take turns playing music so feel free to join me in playing some stuff.

The link to the channel is http://turntable.fm/vg_music6. If you need an invite, let me know.

General Discussion / Map viewers
« on: May 25, 2011, 08:17:16 PM »
So this is probably a strange question but I'm working for a print shop right now and I felt like nerding out and printing some game maps on banners to put around the apt.

Are there any emulators or tools that would display either fullsize maps or screen by screens so I don't need to play every inch of each game to make them myself?

I wanted to do some maps from metoird (super and original), some of the megaman games and probably a full overworld from zelda 1 and ALttP.

Ideas?

General Discussion / SNES and NES music plugin for ipods?
« on: June 27, 2010, 08:25:26 PM »
So now that I've gotten a touch,I've come to realize all the cool small file size snes and nes music I have is kinda useless cause I can't move it over. Anyone know if there's a program already to play them or how difficult making one would be?
