Hmm, I remember playing your FF6 Hardtype hack. I forget most of it. Did you want full reviews or some quotes raving about them? (I can do that. ^_^)

I'm remember the relic-item-learning method and a few relics seemed like 'must haves' as they added big stats and I think included a counter-attack. The rewritten ("proper translation?") made just reading the story an enjoy to re-experience. Actually, a few of the scenes seemed to make more sense than the original text from the games I had grown up with.

I'd like honest reviews that are not too overly mushy or too overly negative.

General overview type reviews are ok.  But complete reviews are good too.

I can give a very brisk review Final Fantasy II Easy up to when I got to the first Elemental Fiend (this was a few weeks ago when I played it, but I remember enough).

While the idea of causing thousands of points in damage with physical attack in the very beginning of the game, especially with the secret equipment, looks good, when you reach the levels of 20s-30s, your damage begins to overflow and you go back to doing about 1000-2000 points a pop, even if you equip less powerful equipment. So at that point, massive breezing becomes no more.

Another point of stopping was all the weapons doing a draining effect like the Blood Spear. Again, liked the concept, up to the point of having to fight the undead on Mt. Hobs, Mt. Ordeals and Milon Z. Forced to use magic against him and them sucked the fun out of it.

My last point, as of writing this post came up during the last paragraph, was the Cecil vs Kain battle.  Lemme put it this way: Kain vs Cecil with fireplace armor/Adamant (?) = me having to hold down the Turbo key and attack buttons for several minutes.  That was a nutbuster.

That's all I can post of it right now. Hope this helps.

I've played up to the Lonka Floating Palace in your FFV Hardtype hack, but I can't tell if you've done any more work, the last few bosses have been simple (when beforehand you really gave each boss their own unique niche) and the normal foes, for the most part are dying in one or two strikes. So far though it has been a lot of fun. The bosses (for the most part) are all unique and each monster has a relatively specific way of being dealt with.

I've played FF2usHT twice now, I recommend it to my other nostalgia freak friends often cuz this is the best hack I've played and it recreates a replay value that might be lost for people who've beaten the original SNES, GBA and DS versions a ton of times already. I enjoyed seeing some new enemies and items, some enemies seemed easy when they shouldn't have been but I wasn't annoyed at all, the game offered plenty of challenge and I'm considering a 3rd round with this game.. until I seen you are working on a "side story". Pleased to see you're still doing this, Thanks. :)

Thanks for the quick reviews.  When I get around to it I'll post those quotes on my site.

I'm also thinking about going through FF2usHT again just because I feel like it.  :D
