General Discussion / Making Ponifications of Japanese old-school video games.
« on: September 14, 2017, 03:56:27 PM »
I've realized that Japanese video games that had a different localization we had can be relocalized again with characters from either My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, 2017 My Little Pony: The Movie, or Equestria Girls. It can be the 2017 My Little Pony Movie and Friendship is Magic TV Show. For example, Panel de Pon can be converted into Pony de Pon with characters from the 2017 My Little Pony Movie and Friendship is Magic TV Show. They are very like to be romhacks.

A new graphics editor will be coming soon to Romhacking.net and it will be a program for people who want to make sprite hacks or make old-school video games with different characters. It is called TileShop.

Final Fantasy IV Research & Development / Playable Golbez under FF Binary Uploader
« on: July 20, 2017, 01:04:59 PM »
I've found the Playable Golbez patch under FF Binary Uploader, but I wonder if it has the correct victory pose and struck pose. https://web.archive.org/web/20151009205358/http://ffbin.sp.land.to/all.html? is the source where I found it. If so, somebody send me that sprite sheet with Playable Golbez and I don't mean Fedorajoe's Playable Golbez Patch.

Final Fantasy IV Research & Development / Filly Fantasy IV
« on: June 28, 2017, 08:28:30 PM »
I just wanted to direct a story for Filly Fantasy IV and I do not intend to make that hack. I've seen hacks made from ff4kster such as Unprecedented Crisis, The Darkness Within, and Final Fantasy IV: Playable Golbez Edition. I've asked DrakeClawfang if he would make Filly Fantasy IV and he said no. To summarize my comments, I wanted to see somebody make Filly Fantasy IV based on Fedorajoe's Final Fantasy IV: Playable Golbez Edition hack but changed to stay true to the MLP canon made with the program FF4kster. You can download FF4kster at http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/914/ and I hope my comments I've posted will help you make the ponified version of Final Fantasy IV with the plot staying true to the MLP cannon. I've tried FF4kster and it's a good program. If you do work on it, make sure you take notes on how you made that hack with contributions from other designers and programmers including Drakeclawfang. Sprites from http://vazcods.deviantart.com/gallery/ and http://drakeclawfang.deviantart.com/gallery/57717145/Filly-Fantasy-VI will be used as a base which will be edited to mimic each character's gameplay and outside of battle map sprites with Fluttershy's battle sprites made to mimic Edge Geraldine's battle sprites from the original game. As I said before, you'll have to get creative for Sunset Shimmer's battle sprites. I am sure that all of my comments including this one will help you with your Filly Fantasy IV project. Good luck!

Final Fantasy IV Research & Development / Helping Fedorajoe on his Playable Golbez patch for Final Fantasy IV.
« on: May 27, 2017, 12:03:51 PM »
If you guys want to help fedorajoe with Golbez's new battle sprites, Golbez's new Victory/Struck pose will have to be edited from Dark Knight Cecil's Victory/Struck pose. This is a reference to Dream Golbez battle sprites in the After Years which mostly use a lot of Dark Night Cecil battle sprites and that was used as a reference to make battle sprites for Golbez. For example, :cybez:. If you guys tell fedorajoe about what I said in this topic, he'll be happy.

I've worked on the Get Damaged, Pressure, and New Victory pose for a Fully Playable Golbez. I may not get a message from you Final Fantasy IV hackers, but here's the sprites for Golbez I've worked for fedorajoe's Final Fantasy IV: Playable Golbez hack.

Final Fantasy IV Research & Development / Speaking about Golbez Sprites for Final Fantasy IV Playable Golbez Edition
« on: August 16, 2016, 11:45:31 AM »
I wish fedorajoe the best of luck for making a fully playable Golbez for Final Fantasy IV.

These are the programs you must be using to make a fully playable Golbez:
FF4kster for making Final Fantasy IV Romhacks.
Translhextion for plain hex view.
Geiger's SNES9X Debugger for decoding ASM and writing new code.
Tile Molester to edit graphics for Golbez.
Cartographer to dump the game's text.
Atlas to insert the game's new text.

 For example: :cybez:

I hope you guys find the correct sprite coding for Golbez's Pressure and new get damaged sprite from Dream Golbez. I've made an example of a new victory pose for Golbez.
