Ah, it's not hard at all. Find the top half of "A," then the bottom, and do the same for "B" and "C." Now just run a hex search for those values, let's say it was 7A8A7B8B7C8C, change the first $7A and see if the top of the "A" changes. Those hex values are made up, it should be fairly easy to get the correct ones. I recall there's more than one DTE table, but the only one I hacked was used for dialogue, I removed the large font from the menus before I did this hack.

I can probably get you the actual offset if you'd prefer, I've still got my stuff from before I switched to FF2us 1.1.

Okay, I must ask this extremely retarded question--How did you get the font block to display like that?
The only way I can get mine to display is "compact" (as in, it's half the size of that thing). I assume "TLP" is "Tile Layer Pro"?

That's how it displays by default, you should be able to just stretch your window. Or you can use YY-CHR, which is superior in almost every way (It doesn't do SNES 3BPP mode because it's technically a form of compression, the SNES can't actually display 3BPP graphics, they must be converted to 4BPP before displaying them).

On YY-CHR? It doesn't have that mode...
I see 1BPP, 2BPP NES/GB/NGP/VB/MSX, 4BPP SNES/SMS/GG/WSC/MSX/(Genesis)/GBA/MSX (test), and 1 BPP 16x16.
...Am I missing something here?

Hey Dragonsbrethren, I am working on the dialogue font in the j2e trans but cant seem to find the DTE table. I did what you suggested (finding the hex for top and bottom of each letter) but no luck. Earlier you said you could find the actual offsets, could you post this for me? It would help out alot. Thanks.

I found a DTE table at B7C40, but the changes I'm making aren't having an effect on the dialogue font. Maybe I'm lookin at the wrong DTE table, that or my hex editor isnt saving the changes for some reason.

There is more than one of them, just keep trying until you find the one used by the dialogue.

Got it. Dialogue DTE table starts at 118210. It loads the bottom half of the letter first, thats what was throwin me off. I was looking for 8F9D but in the table it's 9D8F (for the letter T).

I found the Fonts for Main/Battle Menu at $57200, and I'm not sure what $B7C40 is or does.
Could someone Post a List of Most Addresses for Each Fonts?

Example:

Main & Battle Menu Font - $57200 for Headered FF2us v1.1.
Field Info & Event Font    - $?????  for Headered FF2us v1.1.
Other???

Edit:
  I reloaded the area and the fonts reworked as well.
  Also found reloading the game and starting over helps for name lengths to display correctly.
