WOW

I can't express to anyone just how awsome that is.  Words fail.  THIS is how you do a remake ladies and gentlemen.  Not just slightly improved graphics--but a complete overhaul.  It just isn't the same seeing those screenshots versus an actual gameplay movie.  Sad thing is, I understood just about everything they said in that game and where in the game it was....and I don't speak Japnese. 

And if those voiceovers are real--thats awsome too.  However, I assume those voiceovers are for the trailer only.

It's entirely possible  that those voiceovers are real. However, Square-Enix is notorious for horrible English dubbing, so I don't expect much to look forward to.

Final Fantasy XII was actually quite good I thought...maybe they're getting better.

yeah script and voice acting localization was exceptional on that one but that's because it was handled by the Ivalice localization team

it does indeed look and sound awesome, I still don't know if I'm totally down with Paladin Cecil, it doesn't look bad, and is accurate, but isn't very similar to the old paladin sprite I knew and loved.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new parts of the story. However, as a game I'm afraid that what I've seen and heard about it so far doesn't impress me. The new graphics are terrible (my personal opinion only), and the system of inheriting abilities, while better than nothing (which is what we got in the original), is nowhere near as awesome as the party customization system in FF4 Advance.

You won't beleave this, and you'll shout at SquareEnix for doing this on something we'll never get. But they are making a sequel to  Final Fantasy IV, the bad thing about it, we won't get it because it's going to be on Cellphones.. Damn Square and making games we'll never get due to our crappy cellphones!

I would hope someone will eventually dump it and emulate it.  If it works on a PPC/WindowsCE/Windows Mobile phone it could easily be emulated.  I for one am glad that it is being produced in some form...down the line look for it to surface on a console or handheld.

I'm not so sure a sequel would be such a good thing, square spin offs and sequels are like disney sequels, seldom any good at all.
