I hate Time Warner and RoadRunner.  We are supposed to have a 5Mb line but as you can see we don't.

Comcast is on the same lines at times. IIRC, there were recent updates to the cable modem standard (DOCSIS), so you may want to upgrade and see if that helps.

I've never understood how the upload on dialup is magically faster than the download on dialup... I guess it could simply just be modem compression, but it is seemingly lopsided. For text websites on dialup, those can be breezy fast for obvious reasons... I think that their test is somehow borked though for uploads on dialup.

Their test is broken for uploads period. I can get at least 60 KBs upload a second, up to roughly 80 or 90, and yet barely got a 0.47 Mb.

It's definitely slower than normal, I'm just not sure why. Outside of the modem, nothing has changed on this end. The modem is the same model, so I doubt that's a problem. It's probably just an issue on their end, so like I said I'll give it a try again later once everything is back to normal. If it doesn't go back to normal, tech support will be getting a call, since I got fairly decent speed before this.
