C. V. Script Fix HEADERED VERSION.

Updated November 13th, 2016.

For North American 1.0 version only!

If you plan to use the C. V. Bug-Fix Comp with this, you must apply the Bug-Fix Comp first. You can use either patch on its own as well, though.

My thanks to Leet Sketcher's Headerizer.

C. V. Script Fix NON HEADERED VERSION.

Cobbled together by C. V. Reynolds.

Patch updated November 13th, 2016.

For North American 1.0 version only! It might work with 1.1 as well, but I've not tested this. Beware if you try it on 1.1.

If you plan to use the C. V. Bug-Fix Comp with this, you must apply the Bug-Fix Comp first. You can use either patch on its own as well, though.

Don't apply this over an old version of this patch. It might not work right or at all if you do.

This is my script fix. It fixes misspellings and inconsistencies I found in the game. I tried to keep it brief. I've included the list of changes below so you can make the changes yourself if you'd like. Yes, that (extra space) can potentially cause script problems in a hack if it isn't removed. Was line 99 an ode to Dan Quayle? The world may never know.

I didn't know about either of these bugs. It's not easy to keep up with all the bugs in this game, though. In fact, at first I thought "Off the Hook" was the Kefka's Tower invisible hook bug (the one where you can grab the invisible hook to leave the tower).

A new editor to replace FF3usME could also be useful for another good reason: FF3usME is buggy and we have no sign that Lord J is going to fix it. It also has a habit of moving bytes around if you just click save before changing anything, which some (like me) might dislike.

Not to say I haven't found a way around the bugs, though. I've long felt it a great program... minus the bugs which I always assumed would be fixed.

Script patch updated. I removed the Gau changes like Leet Sketcher mentioned. I added fixes for those errors mentioned by Imzogelmo, too. Oh, and I removed the capitalization on "ox". For when Siegfried calls Sabin "Ox" on the Phantom Train.

I retained the capitalization for Chocobo, Moogle, and Esper because it seems to be the way Woolsey intended it. I don't know why. I might change it in the future anyway, though. Not sure, because I'm trying to stay true to the "spirit" of Woolsey's localization, or whatever. By the way, is "kweh" used at all in the game's script? I don't recall seeing it. I'll check for it, though.

I don't know about those "hoo boy" inconsistencies. If there isn't an accepted always "correct" spelling of that, then it may be better to leave it as it is.

I don't know if anything else is missing. I made the original patch before I was an editing expert (sorry Djibriel; we know your document deserved better editing than what I puked up). If I had more time, I'd comb over the game's script and fix the bad punctuation. As it is, I think the script fix patch is still sufficient.

I also give congratulations to Leet Sketcher. LS, you've kept me happy and hopping with the patches this past year.

Now to bring the rain cloud because that's just me.

Narshe's Door patches are broken, headered and headerless.

Bye Bye Breath writes to two of the same areas The Wild Cat (AKA the bug FF3usME loves to fix) writes to. Which should be applied first and are they compatible?

Please pardon me for taking so long to post this.

I never thought of this issue as a bug, actually. What evidence points to this being unintended behavior? Not that I'm an unbeliever. This game is a bug factory. I'm just curious.

Also, do you plan to fix the Atma Weapon and Valiant Knife in this manner as well?

Added: Multiple Events (Leet Sketcher)

Removed: Stony Silence (Leet Sketcher)

The patch should work well again now. I'll add Stony Silence back when it's fixed.
