THE DARK KNIGHT IS OUT BITCHES, AND I SAW IT BEFORE YOU ALL

I think.

Seriously, though, it's out, and it's a great movie. Anyone else see it yet?

I haven't seen a movie in a theatre in...something like 10 years now. Last thing I saw was Star Wars Episode 1.

It's out on Thursday over here in Scandinavia.. which is perfect, I get to go see the premiere the day before I depart to Bulgaria for 2 weeks.

And the last movie I saw at the cinema was actually Batman Begins. Great movie, I expect this one to be atleast as good.

I just saw it today - my personal opinion: It was a good movie, but not all it was hyped up to be. I was expecting to see the most epic movie since Lord of the Rings, that's what all the hype led me to believe. I guess I was sort of disappointed because I expected more. Had I seen it the day it was released, I may have thought more highly of it, because I wouldn't have heard such great things about it (therefore, no expectations).

Then again, the hype was the whole reason I went to see it in the first place. I'm not saying it was bad at all, it was a good movie. I guess you could compare it to the likes of FF7. Good game, but way overhyped.

That's what I hate about hype. It can give a completely different image of something, an image that doesn't match it at all(If that sentence doesn't make sense, I apologize. I'm having a HARD time thinking here,). The image of the movie I got before I Saw it was a crime drama/examination of Joker/Dent.

according to this columnist I read

Quote
"Hello Friends. Mrs. Tivo and I took in a Saturday show of The Dark Knight, which inspired me to come up with the following list:

Things In Life That Live Up To The Hype
 -Pulp Fiction
 -sex
 -Blood on the Tracks
 -Willie Mays World Series catch
 -Selma Hayek
 -Any vocal by Ella Fitzgerald
-Heath Ledger's performance in The Dark Knight"
