There's been a minor Rockman 5 update. The area randomizer has been fixed and there are now two patches, one doesn't have the laser areas included.

First update of the new year. The blurb at the bottom of Rock5easily's webpage mentions starting a wiki (probably for all of the hacking information on the page, and not the hacks).

I forgot to mention this (kuja may have already let you know), there's a Rockman 2 Endless hack now:

It wasn't made by Rock5easily and isn't nearly as high quality, I hope it gets a few updates to bring it up to the same level as 3 and 5. The level edits are awful, you lose whatever subweapon was equipped after teleporting (it's very rare that I'm not using metal blades in MM2, so this irks me a lot), and the area transitions just feel bad. It does have a few cool features that Rock5easily's hacks lack, the results screen shows your play time and number of shots, there are actually teleporters in every area rather than some just being blank spaces, and the 1-up metool from MM9 made it in (not a flawless recreation, but still awesome).

i know it's not exactly megaman relevant, but drewseph (super metroid redesign) is making a new super metroid hack that will be an sm endless run.  he has a couple short videos on youtube demonstrating it.  it uses redesign as the engine.  anyone who's played it will recognize the random rooms samus enters from the same door. i think he said that he hasn't started the level design yet.  the asm for the random doors and the room counter is (so far) by insomniadmx and pj boy.

Has anyone given this a try yet? I'm completely out of practice, but from what I've played it's more fun than 3 was, and has more modes than 5. There's now unarmed mode, where you start without the master weapons (but you do have the Rush adapters, wire, and balloon), and near death mode. I think we were all in agreement that hardcore mode was never really hardcore; this is. You start with one unit of energy, and can't fill it, it'll just drop back down to one.

Last time I gave any of them a try the calendar still said 2008. Since RM3 endless wasn't as fun, I grew out of playing them. :bored:
