Really, the only difference in the first one is that I deleted the pointer duplicate, shrinking the total size of the SPC data.

I tried that.  Maybe I need to try it again.

Are you putting them in the right place? Some of those offsets are slightly off, at least in my version. I also changed the length header, but that's all I changed in the SPC data in my newer imports.

I've updated the first post with some fixes and additional info in regards to the SPC portion. 

And yes it is 100% possible to import FFV & Secret of Mana SPCs to MQ quite easily.
