7th Saga Complete

This is a really good find!  I couldn't resist!  I'm also trying to get another FF2us and another SNES system.  I keep finding yellowed SNES systems from smoker's homes.

Bought another FFII us with book and map.

This one is expensive but at least it looks in great shape and it has a map!

I need to find another FFIII or two to even the collection out.  I now have 4 FFII's.

*edit*
Make that 5 FFII's.

I bought a few PS1 titles from Half Price Books, at $0.50 each.

Harry Potter, Caesar's Palace and Monopoly.  I've bought several PC games too--at $0.50 each as well.   :cookie:

I bought 16 more complete boxed SNES games from the sosafan2 ebay seller.  One of which is this.

Next week I'll be trying to get about another 3-4 MQ's and FF2us'.

They came!  And some are in absolutely mint shape!

Ordered 2 more Drakkhens and I'm bidding on several more. I was outbid on 3 FF2's so I'll wait another week or so to try and steal a few more for under $10.  I won 2 Mystic Quests and I'm bidding on several others.

ordered a few books from amazon:

1       "The official book of Ultima"
Shay Addams; Paperback; $6.42

this is from like the very early nineties, but there's supposed to be some neat stuff in it, not just guides to the first 6 games.  i can find all the game info i want on the internet, but there's some neat "making-of" info in here.

1       "Dungeons and Desktops: The History of Computer Role-playing Games"
Matt Barton; Hardcover; $26.99

1       "Vintage Games: An Insider Look at the History of Grand Theft Auto, Super Mario, and the Most Influential Games of All Time"
Bill Loguidice; Paperback; $19.06

these 2 were sort of on a whim on thursday morning while i was bored at work and browsing randomly.   "vintage games" apparently has some very cool stuff about the "rise and fall" of atari and interesting info on a bunch of other big game-industry players, ala nintendo, sega, etc. and how they got started, developed, etc.  should be an interesting read.  as for "dungeons and desktops", i dunno, i saw the guy who wrote it on youtube,(he has a channel with game reviews and commentary and stuff) and he seems like kind of an idiot, but i'm curious about whether the book will be decent or crap.  granted, yes, he was part of "vintage games" also, but he thankfully wasn't the main author.

Ah, the golden age of official guides, before they were just walkthroughs. I've got one for SimCity 2000 from '93, thing's as thick as a bible, and is loaded with developer (and a few player) interviews.

Just won this. Unfortunately, lost this, which is the one I really wanted due to its rarity. That's a great price it went for, too. Figured I'd go for them both, since they're from the same seller. At least now I'll have a reliable FF5 cart, instead of one that erases itself all the time...

just got this in the mail today, and it is fucking awesome.   lots of cool backstory and game info that i somehow never knew about even with all the reading i've done.

:edit:

also, i'm 110 pages into dungeons & desktops and it's really nothing special.  the guy is fairly thorough about covering all the games, but he seems to pick and choose weirdly which ones get a lot of pages dedicated to them.

Victory is mine! (Not as good as the other one, used, but hey, that shrinkwrap would've been in tatters on the floor in seconds after its arrival, anyway  )

Oh, and I'm officially broke again for another month.

I recently bought Fallout 3: Game of the year addition. (PS3)
The extra content is pretty linear and short (x5).
